I used to play magic as a kid It would be fun to play but honestly the gatekeeping bullshit is just too much of an obstacle for me Last time I went to get back into it I went to a small card shop to play and it was like everybody was running special 5 color decks or some shit Nobody was just playing the damned game And I'll be damned if I'm gonna have some asshole who hasn't seen a vagina since they were born look at me like I'm the idiot because I don't have a several hundred or thousand dollar 5 color deck that seems essentially useless for anything besides battling other 5 color decks

all my friends always tell me , why do you keep buying boxes from shop as you can have them cheaper on amazon I always say : Amazon is risky and will never close our game shop need funds to run and we like being there to play so i buy from the gameshop even if sometime the price is 20€ (i'm european yeah) higher

Just to throw this out there, Amazon no longer allows returns on collectibles like tcg's I have not made any purchases since this change but I did notice it says that on the listing for every sealed magic product on the site now This has happened to me many times Hopefully this will fix the problem but I'm still apprehensive about buying from them

The first time I returned an item to Amazon I had a really bad experience already I've returned it in the same condition I have received it And I didn't get a refund, nothing, not even the item back, like I'd send it into the void Was some other item, not Magic, but I was returning it because of a scam also (I've received it in bad condition), but such a bad experience returning stuff to Amazon

this isnt a mtg issue, its an amazon issue more often than not you have thieves working for them because they make it so damn easy to steal from their warehouses its honesty disgusting on top off this you have employees who dont give a fuck about the products being delivered and tend to just throw them onto your porch regardless if it says fragile or not they aren't paid enough to care, it's a a-b job in every part that isn't high ranking staff this is the world we live in now, deal with it because it will not change

I know how you feel, Prof I had this happen to me when i was 16 Spent about $300 on Pokemon booster boxes, on sale on ebay All 3 boxes were fake, resealed and fake packs put in their place One way i knew was the fack that a box of Team Up had a hit in every single packsome having 2 I was so pissed, but was told there was nothing they could docouldn't get my money back either-

i worked for amazon before - THE TOTAL PRESSURE OF MEETING YOUR QUOTA OF PACKAGES PACKED AND SENT TO SORTING is HELL we end up NOT CARING how nicely we package it, heck i was shouted at for taking time to making my packaging neat and yes we TOSS IT TO THE GURNEY so we can start with the next package

This happened to me as well I'm new to magic the lord of the rings set is what brought me in i bought 2 box from amazon being new to the game i was unware of repackaged box once i started cracking packs i noticed some packs had less cards than others sometimes the rares missing altogether and if i did get any rares they were the same less-desired rares nearly 400$ wasted

ON Amazon or FROM Amazon? Because there's a big difference If you buy on Amazon but the seller isn't Amazon (while the ship is) of course you are getting scammed either on prices or contents because of how easy is to set a store on Amazon If you buy from Amazon directly 99 sure the stuff will be good and genuine This is true for everything you buy there

Similar thing happened to me with my first pair of boxes for the Star Wars: Legion tabletop game Clone Commandos expansion boxes came banged up and screwed to heck, half the sprues were cut and the pieces mixed around in a truly asinine fashionbrbrI bdid/b get lucky though Managed to get them refunded and got a new pair of them, waiting to finish my current clone minis before I build and paint them

if it is from a third party seller, there is a high chance of being repacked and returns take time but usually pushed thru take photos or video for additional support evidence

As someone who works for amazon You need to read the whole description of the item you are getting Usually, when something is on sale, It typically means it's been a slightly damaged pr returned item For future reference, always buy brand new and pay attention to the company that you're buying from Amazon really does not care about most return items

As somehow who has both worked at an Amazon shipment center & currently running a UPS store, so sad this is all true I hate doing amazon returns at my store as every couple days you get just horrible angry customers over their amazon packages & they dont seem to understand, UPS is just the middle man
