So the Laido's formula is basicallybr- 10 Warming upbr- 70& Trying something beyond your capabilitybr- 20 Go back to the stuff you wanted to perfectbrIf I'm practicing basketball, do yall have any idea what that 70 might be (My familiarities with practicing is; shooting and dribbling, I'm asking on what any other things I should practice) Comment from : @TidakDiket23 |

My main interest is in mathematics and related subjects and I have a few decades or experience when it comes to studying, learning and doing researchbrI still learn things every day, especially about how to learn and understand and I like videos like this sharing their best advicebrI often think about how different my subject is when it comes to learning compared to the subject exemplifying videos like thisbrOn the surface dancing and mathematics seem extremely different, and of course is in most ways, but there is still a lot of common ground when it comes to learningbrbrPushing yourself outside your comfort zone, as suggested here, is a universal method to force yourself to learn morebrSomething I discovered quite recently, which is a major gamechanger for me at least, is that the best way to learn and push yourself outside your comfort zone is not necessarily tobrexpose yourself to tons of new material (this can be useful too, of course), but to use your mind to analyze what you already know in a deeper way to reconcile old knowledge and understanding the "why" more than the "how to"brYour goal is to make what you already know to feel like a part of yourself, more than something you just remember and know how to do When you start digging deeper in your knowledge you will realize that you really just had surface level knowledge on so much that you thought you already knew This can feel a bit scary and pushing your comfort zone limits You need to question your own old truths and confront yourself with the realization that you have more gaps in your deeper understanding than you realized Comment from : @TheIllerX |

But this works only when you are in middle of achieving a mastery on a skill How can a person who is learning completely new skill can put 70 of his time in pushing limits I can see the effective of this 10 70 20 technique but it feels like definitely not for beginners Comment from : @shivargvfilm1989 |

I think this idea would only work on particular skills, because all skills are not like that you work on something tough or next level would perfect your pevious level, for example if i am studying , if i want to perfect chapter 1 to 5 ,doing chapter 5 with all my attention would not perfect, my chapter 4 moreover i would start forgetting it Comment from : @ujjawalgupta2023 |
