Looks like this took a long time to set up (and put away) This is impressive I collect these as well and, like you, started in 1999 with Dolley Madison I've never set them up like this and I've got some holes (Atlanta Olympics of course) Anyway, outstanding Thanks for taking the time to set this up for usbr I agree that the 5-dollar Washington would have made a great circulation coin It's good that Frasier's obverse is going to be making its circulation debut in 2022 Took me six years to get to this video, but I'm glad I found itbr Also, Loved the cat Always include an animal interest Very smart

I was looking at next years commemoratives and thought about this video I am still working to complete my Dollar and Half Dollar Commems collection Not going to try and tackle all the gold yet, but I do have several off them and now buy all the new gold My collection is not all proof but mostly I purchased some issues when they came out that were unc issues like the 2001 buffalo coin and currency set and the 1998 Kennedy set Been sidetracked the last few months with other expenses but gearing up to start looking again

I also love my similar collection of us proof/presentation coins from 1950-2009 which includes 408 coins, some of which also include modern proofs My collection, however, is customized to my personal taste I also am tempted to exhibit it on you tube, but I am not knowledgable enough to figure it out, yet Ha, ha

For me, when I started stacking, I decided why not have a little fun and "collect" different coins form each country Instead of loading up on eagles only, for example, I wanted to own a variety of designs Because of this, I have not only accomplished the goal of diversifying in PM's, I learned a lot about currency in general, and found a fun hobby along the way

I certainly appreciate the history associated with this series I too have a modern commemorative set, both BU and proof from all mints, with the exception of the gold and the last 3 years I tend to wait a few years after each design to allow for the initial inflation costs to settle, but as did you I too had to pay up for the 95-96 Olympic sets Don't know if I'll ever pursue the gold series since I've put a lot of focus into my BU early commemorative set, but time and with luck good fortune will tell

The Dolley Madison silver dollar is one of my favorite commemorative coins because it is the only US coin designed by Tiffany An interesting fact is that the George Washington gold $5 is the original design proposed for the Washington quarter You have an amazing collection Thanks for sharing!

Commemorative sets are rough You have to collect ugly coins about subjects you don't care about, just to complete the set Kudos to you Not many people have put together a set like this; which is one of the reasons commemorative coins aren't always winners and don't always gain value but like you said, it's about the collecting and it isn't always about the moneybrbrI buy what I like, and sometimes I sometime find I'm building an accumulation instead of a collection THIS is a collectionbrbrYou are pot committed Now you have to buy whatever coin the mint comes out with no matter how shitty, like a Decrepit Queens commemorative or a Federal Reserve commemorative I think next year is Mark Twain, so I think you are safe at least for a year

Wow! Thanks for setting that up SM Mom bought me the 1984 Olympic and the 1988 Statue of Liberty sets when I was a young person Unfortunately the Olympic set was handled carelessly I still have it but the packaging is decimated I have a few if the other commemorative sets from purchases made at the coin shows They are nice I still hold my classic commem's dearest out of my collection Isn't it great how the collection grows with each purchase?

I would have liked to have invented feelavision a few seconds ago so I could have got my mitts on all these fantastic pieces and sets I had not realized the mint put out the three coins sets so frequently I kindly ask why you considered making the collection as a whole the priority rather than the enjoyment of small portion of the contents I paused and searched for a few of these SM Excellent collection of the US OGP #1 is the bald eagle set Love the 12:00 mark and seeing all the red, white & blue ribbons so neatly displayed atop the metal >
