Mine must have been salary Had a work injury that left me disabled On permanent restrictions Physical therapy for 3 years 2 surgeries The The most I can lift is 25lbs from floor to knee, for example And the weight gets lower the higher I go Did nothing I asked Didn't start the bidding nearly what I asked Would say, we can go to court if you want to go that far but who knows what will happen You could get a fraction of what your asking I checked around for another attorney Would have had to pay both of them All he did was ph work (not saying he shouldn't get anything for his time, but not the same as the new one if the new one took over from we were at) I feel like he baited me before he got hired Asked me how much I made Said, ok, you're this age(32 early 2000s) retirement age is this age You would have made this much, roughly To make a long story short, lol, I got hosed big time It kinda felt like he worked for the insurance company So, no, I don't have much faith in lawyersbrbrEDIT: Don't bother responding if you were I don't get notifications anymore for some reason Same with likes It just stopped one day Maybe I made a wrong comment? I miss working a job that was paid hybrid like this It was a lot of work, but personally rewarding as well as lucrative if you were consistent with your efforts Unfortunately, it was not flexible enough for having a family Comment from : @hanadr |
Your "straight-upness" is a great quality Some ptetend to be "up front" but are being aggressive and are not genuine You do it without obfuscation or arrogance I appreciate that Comment from : @rudispruell883 |

A good lawyer concerns himself with justice for their clients brThis dude just robs money Money money money He's all about money Comment from : @Pops1970 |
I used to have a comission based job, it was brutal when things were slow or you were unable to work It wasn't such a high paying career as lawyer, but still similar concept applies Hybrid would make for a more stable employment while still encouraging motivation Although I do wonder if you have a minimum earnings before people can start getting commission Comment from : @Hi_Im_Akward |
You really get 100,000$ a year?! Fuckkkkkk mann that’s nice… I’m jealous! Haha Comment from : @tretre1692 |

Cursed it may have been, but oh my God it is GORGEOUS I wish I had a reason to make a dress like this Comment from : @SpringStarFangirl |
Rising 3L here, hiring? Comment from : @trentwickenheiser8661 |
You’re not talking about the speed factor and you pay from that The owners get a much larger percent of the closed cases so it’s in your best interest as well for them to close fast and high Comment from : @johnhightshoe996 |
If you read the comment section in YouTube videos and on Facebook groups about medical-related stuff people have such overwhelmingly negative stories about doctors constantly that it is insane and absurd I really think that doctors will benefit from being paid the way lawyers are because as of now they do not have an incentive to actually help patients properly Comment from : @kaydunton9303 |
A better example, which is better a sure $100000 today or a maybe $200000 maybe two years from now Comment from : @pflume1 |

Lawyers are the slime of the Earth… Dressed in suits and pretend like they’re not Comment from : @philipmehl9355 |
I'm a fan of hybrid approach as long as the base Salary is acceptable and the commission makes sensebrI was trying to get car maintenance job thag worked like this, I think it sounds cool Comment from : @DanielDTUBWeinberger |
We probably differ in lots of ways (I'm as left as they come, and I don't mean the american definition of "left" lol) But I do respect your candor and the fact that you take the time to educate people about something that to me should be way more accessible You have my respect and subscription Comment from : @maxxlanglois |
And motivated to not take easy cases… scumbag Comment from : @sethers9922 |
I’m not a lawyer but I’ve been commission for about 2 years now I really like it, makes the work feel more rewarding than hourly or salary imo Comment from : @Racstacko |
And this is what might make you a shitty lawyer because your focus is on profiting off your client rather than to help your client Comment from : @MegaMech |
And that's the reason I won't use your law firm So what that means is that your lawyers are going to try to close the fastest deals possible not for the client but for their own pocket Comment from : @briansmith35 |
Same with sales Works great Comment from : @theiviachine |
Full commission should be illegal That’s what would prompt people to be unethical Comment from : @DanielDuhon |
At my firm we bill by the hour So I get a straight salary, and a bonus based on the number of hours I've billed in that year Comment from : @mjribes |
Greece: here are 1200 euros and a bag of peanuts Comment from : @jimanastasiadis5135 |
It sure sounds like your lawyers will settle as fast as they can That doesn't always sound beneficial to the client Comment from : @christopherangeli8847 |
No one wonders how a lawyer gets paid Comment from : @ryanm2834 |
Least you pay them a liveable wage Comment from : @Veritas-superbia |
Hey, I worked in insurance restoration in Atlanta for 10 and still do honest roofing work I would love to tell you some horror stories that I’m afraid to tell on social media without better legal representation I have made some videos under different accounts and we have some mutual friends Reach out if you want some extra content I love whet you’re doing to educate people in the area Either way, keep, fighting the good fight! Comment from : @DingleMcGilacutty |
Are you hiring? Comment from : @brs690 |
This identical to sales professionals brbrWhich is what lawyers are brbrClosing deals brbrABCbrbrAlways Be Closing Comment from : @Hogballs |
I respect the approach but no so much the generalization of all personal injury lawsuits being considered to settled quicker and that correlats to the same price Not every tangible injury is quickly ready to identify Comment from : @Sneakylinkqdbandit |
999 just bill by the hour for pretty trivial nonsense, I made the invoices after all 350/hour for inter office emails Comment from : @matthsewsmith |
Your lawyers are just as motivated to settle 2 cases for 50k or 10 cases for 10k tho, right? Screwing over 100 customers by settling 100 cases for 2k would be even better tho right? Your business has the same problem that real estate has, you can make way more money by churning through as many cases as possible, than you can if each client got the deal they actually deserve Comment from : @Wemdiculous |
So the goal is not justice, it’s to make as much money as possible It’s okay, I’m a a doctor and we have similar incentives Comment from : @joshpoi886 |
There's the flaw Goes from "justice" to "profit" Same for the American healthcare system Went from "health" to "profit" in just a few decades Any time "profit" enters the room, there's no more room for concepts like ethics, morals, justice, health, or basic decency Insurance companies prove thatbrbrSad Comment from : @driftwolf |
Going philosophical here, but the hybrid approach is definitely the best because of how many humans make decisions Having a straight salary can cause complacency and decrease quality, while commissions can cause people to complete work for a quota to make ends meet The hybrid approach, like everything, isn't without its weaknesses Complacency could still be an issue with the safety net, but the benefits far outweigh the costs Comment from : @spynix0718 |
Just bc they don’t know doesn’t mean they just sit there wondering You just want to think people “wonder” what it’s like to be you Comment from : @LukeSpine |
The whole "get them to settle quickly" is why generally lawyers aren't allowed to take a set percentage of winnings in Denmark It could unduly make the lawyer want to settle quickly even if it isn't in the best interest of the clientbrbrIf you stand to gain a commission of 5000 settling pre trial opposed to 7000 after a full trial - you're essentially only getting 2000 for the entire thing But for the client it could be the difference of 20 thousand at an increased cost of 2000 So the lawyer is acting against the intetest of his clients in order to maximize his own earnings Comment from : @ostestangmand5301 |
🤑👍😄😁 Comment from : @amtb70x7anunkwn9 |
I don’t agree with this These associates are just going to be settling these cases for less than the full value just so they can get a commission on it and they will never want to try a case I would do some sort of profit sharing or year end bonus Comment from : @markgagliardi3483 |
