The only thing forced on me at school was to eat right handed fork left hand knife in the right, I find it strange trying to go back to left handed eating, scissors were always difficult to use I use my right hand for throwing and catching, holding a cricket bat and tennis racket but gardening tools like a broom and spade etc; only left handed, so a bit of a mixed bag for me I would also have a knack of smudging my writing or drawings as a youngster but managed to get that sorted in time Painting and decorating I have no issues left or right handed

I also was forced to write right handed early in school I didn't realize fully how right handed this world was until I visited a left handed only store Before that I just thought the world is the world and accepted it Now that I know the differences it isn't a big deal except that it explains some of the difficulties I've encountered being left handed They have been minor, but I've made some adjustments to deal with it I once set up a cashiers station for a retail store and an employee remarked, " this is all backwards" I redid it, no problem I think not being aware of the differences is the only problem with being a lefty, otherwise we just adapt to the situation naturally Knowing ahead can help the situation encountered resolve easily

I can solve logic puzzles quickly but when a teaching company hired me to teach that skill, I couldn't do it I could still solve the problems but could not explain to others how to do it Now I realize if only they had included a few left handers as the students they would have learned it
