So, looking purely from a design standpoint, what is your favorite currency in circulation? Personally, aside from the Euro, I would probably have to give props to the Canadian dollar

i collect banknotes and honestly euros are the ugliest,i use it daily as i live in spain! brfor me the us dollar between 1930s-90s were the most beautiful banknotes ever,the detail in design was pure class especially the green back side!

Europe could have gone in a different direction On the back, an image from before modern countries or current ethnic groups (a cave painting, for example) On the front trios of people like 3 great emperors or 3 mythical figures Make all the print Latin and name it after a Roman coin Embrace history rather than deny it

I am from the Eurozone and to be honest I wish our banknotes layout could get some changes and features monuments acoss Europe I wouldn't get offended at all That being said, I don't miss my old currency as I like the Euro I see it as a great attempt to bring people together and turn Europe into an unified country

I liked the Deutsch Mark glad I was there in 2001 just graduated highschool last year they were going to be using their DM the Euro disaster was obviously going to happen take away nations' sovereign right to control their own monetary policy if one is in recession and another not, they need different policies They either need to politically unify with a Euro Congress that is democratically voted by the people with a constitution, otherwise its failure is inevitable

I didn't have that much money from other nations The euro is the money, I'm used to Except that, I have a 1$ bill and used Danish krones I think the Canadian money is interesting from a design standpointbrbrI think the Euro lacks one thing and that's a 1€ bill The lowest bill is a 5€ bill and not all ATMs give out 5€, so you have to get at least 10€ Also paper money feels more valuable than coinsbrbrI have a problem with different currencys and that's the conversion With Euro to USD you don't need to do big conversions There is some but not that big I can go straight to the US and go to a grocery store and kinda know how much this in Euro would be With other currencys this is more difficult For example Danish money is such a case 1€ is about 7DKK and seeing the prices is a bit confusing You need to do the conversion to know if this is expensive or not

What Euro is also brilliantly doing is ruining the economy of existing state members ( Greece ,Italy ) and making people living outside EU poorer as Euro set a standard that is mostly often above that country ( Balkan nations, Belarus, Ukraine )
