If anyone wants to be in the special ed program you do NOT want to be in the program trust me it sucks The work they give you is so easy They aren't challenging the students by giving them the hard work like regular ed does In special ed the grade level work they give you is like 3rd to 4th grade work not 6th to 12th grade work I hated having to do 4th grade A lot of people believe special ed helps But it really doesn't

Special Ed should be set up in a diverse way at every school In other words, Special Ed teachers should always meet full qualification so that none are better qualified than any others are, but school administrators almost never grow up and therefore generally just want Special Ed teachers to have at least the bare minimum requirements in order to teach Special Ed, and there shouldn’t be a bare minimum with Special Ed whatsoever!

i'm planning on going to school for social work to work with people with disabilities mainly autism and ds because i have friends with it and i've volunteered with them, i've learned that it takes patience and love working with people with disabilities this one time i was playing kickball with the ec class at my school and i saw this kid with down syndrome who looked upset about something so i went over and talked to him because sometimes when i'm upset i like to talk to someone about it

Thank you for what you do each day to educate and show these students love I know it's not easy, special educators you are appreciated and have a special place in my heart, so much so that I am in the middle of obtaining my Special Education degree Both of my brothers were in special education It means so much to the families of these students that they are getting an education at their level but equally important that they are spending their day at school with people who genuinely care about them and their well-being

My teachers don’t really help me I have autism, and it’s really hard for me in classes When I rode the bus to school, the high schoolers in the back called me a discusting -lut That personally hurt me a lot But, now that I am older, and have a better understanding of the world,and I have the best people in the world to help me learn better : D

Special Educations makes me feel uncomfortable when I'm being placed in and i know that I have high functioning anxiety plus i'm a minor which I want to learn everything in advanced levels carefully so I just dont feel like being in special education and my goal is to join them in Regular Classrooms and make some new allies and make the best behaviour in my life and special education is unlearning and i felt disgusted but i dont sit grumpily though , i worked hard and educate and yeah

in my industry if we are aware of a plan that a special ed instructor wants to do in the community we try to include it in our plan for the day I actually had met a nice family with a child on the spectrum at work For some reason the kid came running to me and I tried to help redirect the kid back to their family

I hate how children with high functioning autism often arent put in any special needs classes at ALL School is overly stressful for me and I get so confused over the littlest things I am always on the verge of crying, but Im still put in normal classes because I'm high functioning It's unfair- I still need care and I'm not the same as the others It's degrading to me and makes me feel like someone whos just faking or being dramatic

She is an inspiration for all special ed students I had a special ed teacher in 6th 7th and 8th for Language Arts who was a wonderful Special Ed English /Language Arts teacher I also had another special ed teacher in 9th-12th grade who was also an inspiration to me who taught Algebra (-1-2)-S and English II-H- FN LIV SKLS-S and TCHR AIDE-8

This video made me ill to be honest I have a brother with down syndrome and there was a similar curriculum at his school which did not help him If anything it made things worse for him We pulled him out of public education early and he immediately stated doing way better Almost automatically he started having better language and life skills They should be hiring behavioral specialists with doctorate level education or higher It is a true talent to be able to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities in a productive way Unfortunately i did not see that from this teacher in the video today Although at the same time I will offer some understanding as I understand the red tape in the school systems right now
