I bought a Dell XPS for £900 ($1150) recently It’s fantastic Starts immediately instead of having to wait five minutes like the previous Inspiron with its crap HDD I went for the 500gb memory which does me fine for office work and 16gb RAM which is more than enough I dont do gaming

If you’re just going off specs this all may be true I’ve owned Dell XPS computers for many years and they used to be great, but the latest XPS PC’s are not good I bought the top of the line XPS for audio, video and photo work and my previous seven year old XPS (top of the line at the time) was nearly as good I ended up having new PC built at micro center It did cost a little more, but programs now run perfectly It handles whatever I throw at it I can have several programs open at the same time without a hitch I’ll never support Dell again Yes, they’re cheap, but don’t think you’re getting a comparable product to one that you have built, even one with the same specs Pay a little more and have a PC that’ll last for several years before needing an upgrade I’ll now be using my latest Dell XPS purchase as a Plex server
