I'm in a bit of a dilemma, not sure which way to go I've got a job offer, which I accepted, to work as an IT Support Specialist It starts in late March I also applied to work with a major insurance company starting out as a remote call center customer service person The insurance company pays $3 more an hour with 10 more for working evenings, which the insurance job is, than the IT job I can't decide which I want to do I'm 72 (a very young 72) and want to make as much as I can however I'm juggling the issue of doing something I like for a little less or doing the most lucrative job The insurance company also gives me the ability to earn my insurance license at their expense Glassdoor reviews give working for this insurance company a 34 rating and working for the IT company a 27 rating For me, my goal is to earn as much as possible since I'd like to retire in a couple years but I don't know if the stress would be too much I worked in direct marketing before and built a pretty big team earning a Mercedes as a bonus car so I know I can sell, I can build rapport pretty quickly, and I also have kind of that "want to know everything" personality which I'll obviously have to put away Since you've done insurance, any thoughts???? Comment from : @keng1043 |
|

I’m currently in the funeral/ burial insurance industry (pre need with a mortuary) I’ve been doing this for 3 years now and I’m 1099, is life insurance similar? We/I prospect, do seminars and event booths and set appointments everyday, cold call, etc it’s very similar right? And the pay structure depending on what company you work for and if you’re W2 or 1099? Comment from : @vanessasingenstrew9233 |

I will say I had 5 interviews just this week with insurance companies hiring and they all wanted me but I have decided on two and one thing the insurance guy told me is most of the stuff for the license you're not even going to use in selling and I go well that's nuts lol but now I know going into my test, the other guy told me there's a lot of terms needed to know for the exam so to be prepared for that I don't know if this is my calling but I am willing to try Comment from : @RS-bn1ty |
|
Very very little of what I studied for is my real life day to day I only sale final expense for one carrier I meet with 90 seniors My company finances leads and they are really decent leads I’ve been on the field 3 days for about 20 hours total and was driving ten of those hours and I have already sold 3 clients Comment from : @joshacox3110 |

I'm 18 years old, and I'm almost done with my training, getting ready for the exam ( my mom is a insurance agent and wants me to help/ help me) I'm going to college near the end of August Which leads me to the question: Is it just me who feels like I know nothing? I've watched all the videos and done all the quizzes and yet I feel like I barely know anything Its as if I only remember what I failed to remember in the practice exams I have done so far There are five practice exams and I have so far taken them each twice because I failed the first time and I cannot continue if I don't pass Is this a sign that I'm not ready to take the final exam? Comment from : @angelartamesia2 |
