The hardest part about this for me is that my family is from a Russian speaking part of Ukraine and i used to spoke with them in Russian but now do to certain events they’ve wanted to stop and switch to Ukrainian I want to keep learning Russian but I always feel guilty and like a traitor :(

For pronunciations you should be mindful of which letter is getting the stress and learn the rules of pronunciation when a letter does not get stress and when it does wiktionary is a good place to go to see how the words should be pronounced, it is put together by volunteer native Russian speakers

Thank you this video is really helpful I've learned plenty of vocabulary, and even some conjugation, I can understand some words and phrases when I hear Russian but I still can barely speak it Maybe, with your suggestions, I might be able to say more and actually carry on a conversation with my friend without too much use of the translator

Thanx for these advises interesting for the French guy that i am QUESTION : Should i finish learning English before starting playing with Russian ? French, English and Russian share a lot of words ( around 50 & 25) but the Russian ALPHABET (invented by a GreekCyril) is hard to read write or type What's motivate me, aside from the intellectual chalenge and will to know these slavic old friends, is my appreciation for their musics ( especially their Маятник Фуко, still wondering why this name of FOUCAULT'S PENDULUM ?) and i am in love with a russian princess called Джульетта !!! !!! !!!
