Let's be real they're not actually losing money They're just using loopholes to make it look like they're losing money For tax breaks when in reality, everybody's already been paid The actors, the writers, the studio they've already gotten The money So if you claim you lost money, you get tax breaks, lots and lots of tax breaks Which is stupid because nobody wants Hollywood to get tax breaks People want gas companies and oil companies and electric companies to get tax breaks Because that makes oil, electricity and gas cheaper It'll be cares about a cheaper Movie made in hollywood when they went up making billions in merchandise anyway

this is part of why actors are on strike as well the world has changed and streaming has become a big player so even getting a of the gross may not work this was the basis of the lawsuit by scarlet johansson a couple years ago against disney they released the movie black widow on streaming while it was in theaters her deal gave her a of the theater gross not streaming gross so she sued saying that they robbed a chunk of the theater gross because people could see it on streaming she basically won and settled out of court brnot actors are on strike because they want a piece of streaming if it's a pay per view it's easy to know the gross , if it's just included in a monthly subscription no one knows the gross
