Just for clarification, a 1 year residency is not required prior to beginning practice as a PT Residencies are completed in preparation for board certification in specialized areas of practice like orthopedics, sports, geriatrics, etc DPT students typically spend 40-45 weeks during their graduate studies doing clinical education (hands on practice) that prepares them to practice as independent clinicians upon graduation and passing the national board exam Enjoyed the video!
