Here in Norway, returnables don’t spawn in private trash/recycling bins Public ones, like near stores, schools and bus stops spawn a lot of thembrWe only have plastic and cans, no glass deposits There’s also returnables on the floor sometimes, especially near fast food places and parking lots

This is extremely useful I love picking returnables off the floor - and out of the rubbish bins I’ve been doing it on foot so far - soon by 3-wheeled bicycle

I'm a 19yr old in Sacramento CA and I turn in roughly $60 worth of CRV cans, colored glass, & plastic bottles #1, 2, & 4 (yes my local recycler is picky) every other day

Duane Reades in Manhattan from 14 st all the way up to 96st alway refuse to take bottles and cans of products they sell because they don't like to service none of their machines none of them machines the laziness the worse I ever seen look at 33 and 8th Street in Manhattan the worse this Jamaican lady the worse she the manager of that store she should be fired braking all the recycling laws ,liberals the worse trust me

Was walking back home yesterday and saw a bad with 72 glass bottles that had ripped open and they had left it there Ran back home and grabbed some garbage bags and there we go Not a lot but it all adds up

As a woman I found taking a baby stroller a great help when it comes to carrying glass bottles and also people were kinder to me and gave me bottles when they thought "hey, she has a kid to feed"

When I was a kid, we had a 10 cent deposit on glass drink bottles in Florida My dad and I would go out on our bikes every Sunday before church and pick up bottles that had been thrown out on the side of the road He had a basket on the front of his bike

Do you get money for all types of plastic, glass and aluminum cans? here in sweden it is completely idiotic SEK 1 for small aluminum cans and bottles under 15 liters otherwise SEK 2 and the rest is thrown away and you will find lots of cans without a SEK 1 mark, you just have to throw it away think how much you could recycle and make money on

I work as a teacher and collect plastic and aluminum cans while I am at work I also took the responibility of our recycling station and collects the metal and sell it ofcause In the weekend i always start out with a tour around other schools waste bins Always good money and exercise On these tours also goes by the locas hospital waste bin These stressed out home nurses drink alot of energy drink so cans for me again I Sweden its 1 krona/bottle Glass is 0,60 krona 10 krona about 1 euro or american dollar

Hello thub I'm a 16 year old from NY and the way it works is I have a redemption machine down the street from me and a place 30 mins away that accepts any NY CRV I've been doing this since age 7 I make roughly 500-600 a month from cans and bottles glad to know I wasn't the only 11-12 year old who was doing this

its illegal because the municipality's use the funds they receive from the recycling to help offset the costs involved with their waste disposal programs , On the other hand When we recycle things that were destined for landfills it actually saves them money by reducing the weight of waste they are paying to dispose of so it goes both ways
