I got out of shortwave many decades ago I was on my set when I got what I thought was a transmission from an alien in space It identified itself as such After much back and forth he got angry and said they were going to destroy earth I huddled my family into my basement and waited (I know, what good is a basement if the earth is going to be destroyed?) They screwed up centuries ago when they came up with the rate of curvature They made it way to small because they could not imagine a sony p1000 ever existing that would blow their rate of curvature out of the water So, just explain to all of us flat earth fools how we are able to see another person across a lake shore at 6' elevation from 30 miles away (They should be hundreds of feet below the horizon) - and no, don't give me the silly "refraction" line That BS has been proven to be completely ridiculous through multiple math equations and real life experiments As a side, just try to explain away the US military's latest electromagnetic rail gun results How is the US Navy able to fire an UNGUIDED metal projectile more than 200 nautical miles across the ocean at a muzzle velocity of mach SEVEN (8,600 feet/second) and impacting its target at mach FIVE (just over a mile a SECOND) If the earth is a ball that is just under 25,000 miles in circumference, and the projectile was fired at an elevation of say, 100' ft above the ocean - it should gain elevation as the earth falls away from it into it's curve It would be nearly five miles up into the atmosphere at 200 miles After all, it can not guide itself Are you going to try to say that the projectile (at those insane speeds) is somehow curving around a ball at mach 5?
