If you’re allowed $1950 Mthly how is this calculated Is it for all the days worked in that month or every 4 weeks Some month has 5 pay day ?

someone earning $300,000 a year can strategically delay claiming Social Security and end up with way more than someone who’s worked their whole life earning $50,000 It’s like the system is rigged

My 64 yr old husband plans to retire from full time work this year (a few months after turning 65) and only work two days a week at that point We have a minor child together and she will receive a benefit until she gradutes high school If he goes over the $23,400(or the $1,950 per month) working those two days a week, will our child's benefit be affected ($$ withheld) or just his?

Why do they penalize seniors for earning money? The Social Security they are collecting is money they earned and the government stole and forced them to put into a savings account So why does the government penalize them for retiring early and earning more money?

One question that I can't get a straight answer on is this; I took the 65 age retirement Basically the amount I get is 300 less than I would get at FRA Once I get to the FRA point, I know they do something of a recalculation, So do I get that 300 added back, or will I forever receive this 300 less?

Question on 1099 income If I earn 3000 per month 1099, but on my tax return it is reduced because of expenses and estimated quarterly taxes paid, how do I report income? Do I report anticipated net income per month even though the 1099 income is gross income? Not clear on this Thank you

i have never found and answer to this basic question -- so i am not holding out great hope here either but if you start taking social security early and due to work income they with hold $10,000 when you reach FRA is that given back as a lump sum or is it spread out over an anticipated lifetime? and if so what is that time period?

If I collect early at 62 I am penalized at a lower amount, and that amount is set for life They should pay the full amount if I don't make it over the; limit and should change to the full amount at 67 It is not fair to penalize anyone at 62 who agreed to take a lower amount for life

By the time you reach the full retirement age you are dead o need to work as much you want you people are sick stealing our money and if you work they are still taking ss tax from your payroll ss should pay our rent utilities food and medicine and we won't need to work I hope people are paying attention to this bs

My Question: brWhat if FRA is age 67 and you take SS in 2025 which is the year you turn 65 You are retired and not working, but receive a payout or bonus as the retired lawyer from “your own” law firm on a settled court case (case began years ago but finally settled and $$ received in 2025) it’s a large sum…considerably more than the total annual social security income would be How is that viewed by Social Security with regard to disqualifying your social security payments? Seems like all social security would have to be given back??? brAnd…don’t quite understand if the “payback” at FRA would apply Would much Appreciate any clarification Thanks
