Regarding PayPal, I remember a couple of months ago I had to pay for something, at a site that just mainly wanted me to use PayPal (I'm very unfamiliar with them, and have never had to use PayPal really, so I stand to correction), but when I tried to set up a PayPal account through my Capitec bank, I couldn't After some equiry, I remember getting a response, in the line of, that there was "current problem" with opening new PayPals from SA (or linking your SA card to it of iets), and that their only bank that they were accepting from SA, at that time, was via FNB Established accounts was ok and still ongoing (as I had a friend who's PayPal was linked to their Capitec account years ago, and was working still) I don't know what the current situation is, as I found another way around it, ons moet maar, and I haven't had a need to use PayPal again, but if anyone has had a recent experience like that? or can shed any light on the situation?

Such a great topic! I STRUGGLED to try and get money from the US to South Africa via traditional banking After some research I ended up going with a pretty popular transfer service and it was fantastic! I got my money in 2 days and the fees were far cheaper
