Currently 18 I set myself up pretty good can’t even say it was me all glory to god and my people for keeping my head on straight I do as much research I can about the next steps, constantly looking for advice especially from older folks with some wealth I’m still young don’t got much info for the younger kids but just stay focused to create a good life for yourself to ultimately leave a legacy for your family A lot of obstacles WILL make you fall short… everybody does That bounce back is what matters Love you all

maybe I missed the answer to this question, but I worked a few odd jobs in high school and got paid in cash Obviously I did not pay any taxes on that cash, and I don't earn any income right now, and therefore I don't pay taxes on my (nonexistent) income Does this mean I cannot put money into a Roth IRA just yet?

I'm going to college but I am not entirely happy about it My parents and pretty much every adult are forcing me to go But I'm trying to look at a bright side and say that it is for structure I will be playing a sport at this college, and I will be able to move to another state in which I would try my hardest to move to anyway I am starting businesses before I even enter college, so I should be just fine when I get out of college Trying to look at the other side of the coin Oof

I’m in college for engineering, currently working an internship this summer I’m investing sort of like Buffet in a taxable account & I’m running a 3-fund portfolio in my Roth IRA When I’m graduated, I plan to drive a used car & soon after buy a small apartment complex as my first living space, which will make my house payment non-existent From there I can increase investment of my engineering income and look into more real estate opportunities Don’t see any reason why I can’t be out of the matrix as soon as 40-50 :))

Amazing content I started a bit late (graduated from my doctorate program at age 30 in 2016 with 170k in school loan debt) Managed to pay off my debt by 2019 and currently have a house and 250k total in investments (combo of profit share, 401k and a brokerage account) I'm not very knowledgeable in investing, so I just have my investing currently in index funds (mainly voo, but have been putting a lot into schd the past few months) I dunno if that's the optimal strategy, but psychologically it is very set it and forget it, and prevents me from obsessing over individual stock performance like you alluded to in your video
