Mike,brThese are great books I just finished the two books: How to make money in stocks and Buffettology great resourcesbrCorrect me if I am wrong, but these two books have different ways of investing Mr O'Neil method is more for constant managing of your stocks, but Mr Buffet book is for holding long term Similar to yours videos, I believe in dividend investment; but after reading Mr O'Neil book I see some flawlessness of my strategy especially after the recent Covid-19 crashed Although I received between 3 to 10 on return of dividend on my stocks over the years, but one crashed wiped out over 30 of my portfolio, and these holdings may take awhile to recuperate Now, I see the validity of only holding a few solid companies (leaders), and a strong system of exiting when the stocks fall beyond a certain point (his threshold is 7 to 8); so you don't loose too heavilybrRegarding to holding long term for compounding earning, there should definitely be a place for it as well, but it should not be the only way to investing I still analyzing and working on this strategy brI just completed the two books, and will re-read them again and take more notes to understand these books more in-depth Will share with you my thoughts later to get your inputbrThanks for the book suggestions Comment from : @dennisvo979 |

"There are at least three good reasons to ignore what Peter Lynch is buying (1 )he might be wrong! (A long list of losers from my own portfolio consistently remind me that so-called smart money is extremely dumb about 40 of the time); (2) even if he's right, you'll never know when he's changed his mind about a stock and sold; and (3) you've got better sources, and they're all around you What makes them better is that you can keep tabs on them, just as I keep tabs on mine" brbr Peter Lynch Comment from : @its420clint3 |

Whether you’re an experienced trader or you’re just starting out with your first investment, it always pays to have a good understanding of the rules and trends, and to keep abreast of them as they change Tips on technique and insights from those investors who have excelled can come in pretty handy, too Read up to find out what others are doing and how and why they’ve been so successful before you invest your next dollar Comment from : @Talkinglife |

Those are good books, Mike Very solid info My past reading (over a 25 year span) included books by Peter Lynch, Jack Bogle, William J Bernstein I'm all mutual funds/etfs, but since they all own stocks, it is good to know the underlying investments brfyi, I worked on that spreadsheet some more (the one about Roth conversions vs LTCG), but decided that doing a small conversion and a little LTCG would give me the best outcome The RMD comes in a couple years and will be relatively modest Sorry, Uncle Sam, no big payday from me this year :) Comment from : @DaveSchmrdr75 |
