Using this calculator now and the residual value doesn't change according to the sell price I'm on the phone with the dealer The residual value only changes with the mileage The residual value is always based off of the MSRP

base on your calculation, residual value is 69 of capital cost However, it’s based on MSRP not capital cost as far as i know

I just got my Honda pilot Touring from the dealer got a 7k discount which it was hard but they agree with me and 2000$ for fees and first lease payment First time I went with out the knowledge they wanted 5000 down with 500$ discount and payment of 695$ a month 😂 I left the dealer Went to another dealer after watching your video lowered 2k they also wanted 5k down but I told them I would think about it Went next day and told yes and I did all the numbers in front of them and they were impressed they wanted 5k and after I did the math my 5K were not in the numbers I did I left and I contacted a car broker he was going to get me a 2024 EXL pilot for 500 month a 2500 for first payment and broker fee, call the dealer the same day and told them a car broker gave me a better price and payment but never told them it was a EXL They call me next day saying they will give me the same price as the car broker with 0 down payment This video save me 5k on down payment It works but you have to be good in numbers to show the dealer that your not stupid! brAt the signing the manager didn’t even talk to me😂😂😂

Saving the video for my next lease, which isn't until October 2024 (2025 Model year?) Interest rates are high so I'll compare new lease versus buying my current lease next year Also, I'm one of those "suckers" who know the dealer is charging MSRP and so I'm focused on lowest lease payment and how much to put down (usually around $5000) I'll do my research next time More options in 2024 as my current Hyundai was leased during a pandemic when nobody had inventory and I had only one choice of model to grab (literally)

Thats actually stupidbrbrThe total cost you pay over 3 years is 90 of the car pricebrbrThe car residual is 70 so you expect the car to only depreciate at 30 and yet you paid three times more for that via costbrbrIn simple words you want your monthly payments to be reasonable so at the end of the three years you can buy the car by paying the residual and three years cost plus the residual should be at around 110 of the MSRP OTHERWISE why bother paying twice the car price over three years

This isn’t accurate because most will also charge you tax which varies The best way to get the cheapest lease is to look for a low depreciating vehicle such as a Toyota I leased a toyota and after 2 years the value has only dropped 2k on the car And I am paying only 329 per month 0 down for a venza After the lease I will just buy it out or trade it in and get some credit

Residual value calculation is incorrect in the worksheet, residual value is determined on the msrp and monthly assumptions done by the financial company The MSRP should be multiplied on the residual value percentage not the cap cost The cap cost amount can change of course as negotiated or paid up front so as is this can drastically change the lease payment
