Actually this is the very reason not to save your money and invest it instead The problem is that cash is basically worthless these days so you want it actively invested in assets that generate you revenue - a company you manage / run, rental real estate or stocks & mutual funds You want to have an emergency fund but anything outside of that should be going towards investments At least this is how I do it whether we are in an up or down economy because of how worthless the dollar has become

This gets a Dislike because you said nothing about "stop spending money" Usually in inflation people buy now to avoid higher prices later, but I'm doing the opposite and waiting for prices come down It would be interesting to know if more people are doing that, and there's also a risk to the economy if everybody does But instead you talk about what billionaires are investing in and cryptocurrency

The Big Mac Price index is definitely more precise than the CPI index when assessing real inflation If we used the CPI index method from the 80’ after 30 years today, the inflation would be near 15

Thank you for helping us understand what's going on I first started investing right before the March 2020 crash and sold everything, which I deeply regretted later Now I'm in the same position I bought the recent dip on in MSFT, NVDA, and FB, and have been holding AAPL since $120 I'm feeling the pressure to get out and cut my losses, but I'm going to take your advice and not make the same mistake again It could be a long winter though
