My preference goes to bars because if you count silver weight in troz, you want lower premiums so you can buy cheaper Other big plus for bars is, bullion coins are tender, you have to be careful about oxidation, milk spots and stuff that only diminishes their value, removing that premium you already have payed Tarnished bullion will be simply measured in silver upon selling So, why would you buy coins, you need silver for silver, not because it looks fancy Comment from : @silverchef_ai

I like the look of APMEX bars, but they're probably unexciting to a lot of people I like that they're recognizable to wider variety of people than some other bullion bars However, I've seen a few 50 ounce APMEX bars - I think at APMEX - and they actually had a higher premium (per oz) than 10 ounce APMEX bars I think the 50 oz bars were secondary market, so they may not be produced anymore, making them rarer possibly, hence the higher premium I can't say for sure what's going on with the premiums, but they do have an extremely cool look to them in that larger size Comment from : @kayeninetwo3585

The difference in premiums for me here in Canada isn't honestly that different between buying rounds, bars, and coins, so I'd rather buy coins because those will be a lot easier to sell if the need arises, or will be more trusted if the loonie collapses I'd rather pay the extra dollar or two for a maple than something random like American "mint" bars or rounds Comment from : @TeamDreamhunter
