Nothing wrong with buying the fancy coins, if you look at them like any other collectable (That is, in 90 of situations, you have to be willing to sit on it indefinitely, until you find the right buyer, or be willing to sell at a loss)brbrGeneric gold and silver is an ideal placeholder for buying power with your cash, and in most cases, will be the best thing to buy, so you have a chance at beating the premiums over a shorter period of time (not to mention, way easier to sell)

Just purchased a 1 oz Gold Buffalo from Summit metals at a good price, I did it on line and made a mistake I hit a wrong tab that was for Summit to store it for me and not knowing that I did this Well I received a phone call from Summit Metals asking me if I really wanted them to store it, I was so thankful that they caught my mistake and on top of that they gave me an upgrade in shipping to Fed-Ex two day for being a first time buyer I will for sure be a returning customer at Summit Metals

I've only ever bought US mints except for a 1oz perth mint 2023 year of the rabbit I got for my son this Christmas; I'll do the same for all my kids I figured I wanted to start investing for him and there's some symbolism behind the coin as it's his birth year and zodiac sign I also hope that it being personalized to him it makes it that much harder, emotionally, for him to sell it so he holds it longer rather than simply hawking it on his 18th birthday 😂

That's why I always sell outside a dealer Have multiple people who buy my coins as they know they're genuine and that they'll pay less than if they went to buy the same one at the dealerbrBut of course you just czn't have any coin If I buy "normal" coins (the ones that are easy to find) I'm up against competition but if I get the one that almost impossible to get I don't It's a question of buying at the right time, at the right price and there's also a little bit of waiting

Problem with these coins is the value is in the gold not the pretty picture When it's zombie apocalypse time no ones gonna care if it's a Chinese dragon or a bald eagle it's just gold that's only worth what gold is worth That being said they're stunning and valuable to you

No matter what you collect, the best price you will find is in the “local” market You confirmed this with your US vs “foreign” collectable gold coins If you bring the dragons to Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, etc, they will get a higher price Bring your US coins, and the interest will be pretty much the same as the interest you got for the dragons in the US

I stick to crypto , precious metals are so overpriced and because of this it has limitations in use because of this, so much so that if gold , silver and even copper were so much less expensive they would be used more in products other than jewellery and scientifically Also he other problem with the metals is they are recyclable so there is no burn unlike something like uranium that gets consumed

LCS are not your friend Any amount of gold should be sold as a minimum at spot for the weight of gold I bought my gold a while back and when asked what I could get for buffalos, they said all gold 60 below spot They sell at 150 over spot GFYSbrbrThis is why I’m buying BTC No reporting, I get the value of the asset with a fractional transaction fee that shames these hucksters at the LCS
