I'm looking to get rid of 2/1977br1/1978br1/1979br1/1982 1 oz gold kugerands Mint condition Seems like prices vary depending on the year brHow much should I sell them for?? Comment from : @commentsedited |
Takes to long to make money with gold there are places you can make way more Comment from : @HeatherMizzell |
I say this about everything, your baseball cards, collectible star wars stuff, even your car or motorcycle is only worth what you can get for it in a reasonable amount of time for sale, sure there is someone out there who would pay top dollar but are you really going to wait 10 years to get what some expert or some website says it's worth Comment from : @GrifterBuddy |
So, why would you pay the premium for the eagles if you can only sell them for spot or less?brwould you not get the same money for the rounds? Comment from : @cherokeeman7140 |
If the spot prices were set properly you could take 50 silver eagles ($50 face value) and buy 1 gold eagle ($50 face value) but you can't and because it is US minted currency you should be able to do that but either gold is way overvalued or silver is way under valued Comment from : @preyingmathis2517 |
The truth is that its hard to make money buying silver The premiums are set so high it would take $40 spot to make a few dollars per ounce Maybe in 30 years you can make some but gold really is the only metal that has any significant gains Silver is still way under its all time high and gold has just hit a new all time high Silver sucks Im going to sell all of mine as soon as I can without a loss Comment from : @preyingmathis2517 |
Thanks! Comment from : @SHE3e23 |
On eBay you can get 100-200 over spot, but eBay will charge you 14 fees which is about spot after fees, and shipping Comment from : @ds7411 |

This video was really helpful I definitely subscribed for future videos It is interesting to see how different shops have all sorts of opinions when it comes to buying your coin, but when it comes to selling them, i bet the ms 69 slab would matter to them lol Comment from : @angelnavarro9341 |
I know a guy that only buys slabbed Sucks for him Comment from : @russellstall169 |
That one in the slab, would have to come out to be tested, but don't worry, it will only effect the price, if its not real Slab,,,lol, more like red flag Comment from : @SeaWeed2 |

Never sell to a shop they'll only give you 10 cents on the dollar Comment from : @lespaul1755 |
Price of one, 1 ounce gold eagle at a large, online bullion dealer is presently $250 over spot (I just checked) and 1 out of 6 shops will only pay $30 over spot Morale of the story: gold eagles are ridiculously over-priced on the retail market, and you shouldn't expect to recoup the premium you will pay for them Bottom line: buy another, lower-premium bullion coin Comment from : @e-vd |
I do not buy any coin ever The only value is the metals and I am swamped with coins nobody's going to buy from me someday What's the point? Comment from : @other-terrestriallifeform1851 |

What about Mexican 50 peso gold (12 oz troy?) Not sure of the alloy, probably coin gold) Do they have to be assayed? Ones I have come across dated 1947, but later re-struck from the same dies Later strikes distinguished by a die break on obverse (I think, it's been a while) Comment from : @drfaustens4504 |
Do proof coins bring any more? Comment from : @williamcondra3811 |
This is an interesting video Not just because the prices given but the reasons for the prices As far as I could tell the reason for the price was always based on what the collective told them it was I understand that’s how prices work, but no one was willing to pay more or less… just following the crowd onto the cattle car Comment from : @simonleland2873 |

At this moment, it is crucial for individuals to prioritize investing in alternative streams of income that are not reliant on the government, particularly with the existing worldwide economic crisis Investing in stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies can still be profitable during this period Therefore, it is advisable to explore these investment options to secure one's financial future Comment from : @Riggsnic_co |

Seems like bullion is the best way to go Proof or slabbed - always excuses to not pay any premium whatsoever Best to be patient with limited issue precious metal coin sets with buyers offering obscenely low prices well under the bullion metal value Really frustrating to say the least Comment from : @godfreyberry1599 |

Can ANYONE in this thread give me any information on an American selling similar 1oz Gold Eagle or Krugerrand coins in Europe ? More specifically Germany ?brIs it legal to bring the coins from the US to Europe?brCan I sell them legally at a coin shop ?brWill there be any reporting of the sale to any government ?brWill I get spot prices (or more, or less) ?brWill I get cash immediately ( Euros ) ?brWould there be any other issues ?brThanks Comment from : @michaelterry1000 |
Obviously these coin shops have to make a profit on the deal brbrLast week I received a present of $300 US from an extremely wealthy Russian lady I sometimes do work for, in the form or three $100 bills As I live in the UK, I had to convert them into GB pounds in order to spend them At the time the exchange rate was £238 to $300 However, when I took them into a bureau de change shop they only offered me £225; a profit of (5 to 6) This I immediately accepted, understanding that these shops would not be able to offer this convenient service unless they were able to make a profitbrbrShopping around, as you suggested at the end, is always great advice 👍 Comment from : @alexistarr |
