Question: I have been on SSDI for 2 years and called went down to the SS office to ask how much longer do i have to wait for my children to start receiving the SSDI monitary benefit? They stated that "I", never started the paper work for them and it was up to me I was to that they were going to do that and it was going to be "automatic" After the ladies long review of her computer screen, she answered back with the SS did send me a letter to fill out and send in to start the paper work Long story short they are now "in processing for the benefit" Question; will they receive back pay for the entire 2 years? If i file for my SSA benefits as soon as eligible at 62 and I have kids under 18 eligible for up to 75 of my benefit as a family maximum - if I start working again, I know my benefits wife gets reduced $1 for every $2 I earn…but does this also reduce what they can get?
