My dog broke her tooth which is supposed to be covered but when I submitted the claim I got nothing because of how my vet itemized the bill Why am I paying for pet insurance if I’m also having to pay the vet bills in full???

Idk why doctors and vets have to be bias and just think one way: they are trained to not ask questions and obey Sometimes you pay a lot for Insurnace and they only cover 800$ of a 1600$ procedure They won’t tell you the actually truth they just go by “guidelines” guys an idiot all his examples are negative

I just dont understand how this Pet insurance work my 25year old maltese had a benign lump on her abdomen, it was surgically remove and i paid $273 out right for the procedure Them i claimed it to her insurance and it was approved and i get paid $23 The insurance said 80 will be covered I thought i will be getting the $250

I have a Shiba Inu and he’s healthy for the most part (doesn’t get sick, only mild allergies) so I didn’t believe in pet insurance until a second serious incident The first time, he was running across the street because my friend opened the gate and a car was able to slam on the breaks so my dog didn’t actually go under the car The trip to the vet, hospital stay, and blood work cost about $5000 here in California Luckily, I was able to pay for that The second incident was when he continuously ate something in the yard and it became impacted in his intestines We had multiple vet visits to different pet hospitals and finally a surgery That cost me around $13,000! I finally got pet insurance after that 😅 My beloved dog is 7 years old and has a long way to go!

If you are a dum owner who lets their cats play on the ledge of a skyscaper or run loose in the street get you a cheap accident only policy, otherwise its usually a suckers bet, stay away from pet insurance

For those in the USA, there is a great plan that won't break the bank and covers an emergency & everyday common issues (ear infection ect) if needed AND you can add routine care (shots/flea-tick meds ect) for a few bucks more (all for under $20 bucks a month) That's what, less than a week's worth of visits to the big name coffee chain

My husband and I waffled back and forth getting pet insurance, and we finally decided to get it about 3 months ago This Monday, my 4 year old dog got rushed to the emergency vet because she was severely anemic to the point she had to get blood transfusions, and is diagnosed with AIHA I am picking her up today, and the end bill is going to be $6,500 The policy I have will cover 80 of that My dog is only 4 and this came out of the blue and she didn't have any previous medical conditions So if you are thinking about it, just do it Trust me, you never know what is going to happen

I have one 7 year old chihuahua, that needed emergency eye surgery $4k because of corneal ulcer not including recovery costs I also have two 5 year old pitbulls, one of them got a really bad cancerous tumor 5k that also needed surgery to remove it My other pit needed a emergency closed pyometra $6k People hear me out of you love your furry friend get him insurance ASAP Wish I had insurance at that time would have saved me thousands

Buying insurance is the gamble Having a solid emergency fund based on logical calculations is a sure thing Insurance has a deductible, only covers a certain percentage of the cost of procedures, and doesn’t cover everything Insurance companies are in the business of making money, not helping pet owners save money

I adopted a 6 year old dog in September 2021 and took out Pet insurance in October with every paw UK i pay £1800 per month I December 2021 my dog got very bad ear infection the treatment started incl CT Scan anestasia for far her bill is over £2000 so far my excess is £110 per condition The insurance paid out the 1st claim no problem and i am sure they pay the rest as well ! PET INSURANCE , YES!

I've never had pet insurance before but I'll definitely be getting it next time around My 8 year old 140Lb mastiff mix just passed away back in Jan from cancer I had been doing the "putting some money away" method for a little while and had just under $2000 saved up when he stopped eating The very first visit completely wiped that out and they didn't even actually find out what was wrong with him He ended up in the ER clinic a week later and had to stay a couple days for another few thousand $$$ That's when they figured out he had lymphoma I couldn't even consider chemo but he made it another 5 months with pretty good quality of life on prednisone, which everything I read said it should have only been 2-3 months
