Looking at the $100 bill , at the 7 oclock position , underneath the word FRANKLIN there is micro printing letters USAUSAUSA that can only be seen under high power (30X or higher ) magnification , the same for about half inch above FRANKLIN a phrase of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ,( along the collar line) , that nake eyes can't see

I've read that ATMs can detect counterfeit money by things such as magnetic ink that is similar to the magnetic ink on the bottom of a check But can an ATM check the Hologram stripe in the center of the $100 bill? And considering I don't live in the United States is the Hologram stripe on other Paper currency?brbrIn Canada I once saw a Street Beggar checking a US $2 bill for a watermark I couldn't believe it I Had to ask her if she gets many counterfeits often in her line of work

Magnetic ink is used to print bills $5 and up To detect if magnetic ink is used, buy a rare earth or neodymium magnet (approx $3 at Harbor Freight) Hold the magnet about 1/16 in from the bill and you should be able to make the bill move up and down without touching the bill, if it is legit
