HA!!! No overtime in Texas even if you work an 18 hour day! Been at this over a decade and make only $36 per hour - standard to above average hospital pay And our health insurance is expensive and crappy I can’t even go to my own hospital without paying a fortune

Yes this is California plus California living is ridiculously expensive So it outweighs how much you actually get paid Although it may not look like a lot to some travel nursing jobs get 2-6k per week depending on area and specialty So even if you don’t live in California you can still make a decent paycheck

Down here in the South, Nurses with 20 yr experience only get $30-36and we just got an email threatening disciplinary action if we had overtime on our paychecks But they expect higher acuity and patient loads Sigh
