while I agree that buying secondhand is better for the consumer, better for the environment etc I think when you’re just starting out LEARNING how to use a sewing machine, how to thread it, that you need to buy a new one that has lots of online tutorials and instructions for so that you’re not stuck wondering how to use an old machine that nobody makes anymore, or not having the correct parts for it Just something to keep in mind if you’re a beginner- ALWAYS check to see if there are online instructions and replacement parts before you buy a piece of technology such as a sewing machine Comment from : @lexiylove6885

I just today learnt how to sew I bought a mini dewing machine off Aliexpress for $68 and it seems to work just fine My first project was a cushion cover My mother in law helped me with the button holes But we did it!
