Let me ask you something What happens if an operator is hurt? Not so bad they are sent home or disabled but like you said your bodies are taxed like a professional athlete Do you get your same pay you would be earning if you were on deployment and such? brbrAlso, speaking of professional athletes i believe you men and women should be treated as such with nutritious meals for optimum performance and also massage, therapy, icing, just like a player after and before a game brbrThanks for your service and dedication Comment from : @Pooky1973 |

Thank you, I am not really planning to do any of that but I like your approach by giving numbers and bull…t around with “it depends… it may vary from place to place and so on and so forth…” Comment from : @hateprotoss |

The pay ain’t worth getting shot or blown up, but it is definitely better than a lot of civilian jobs even if you aren’t SF!! I make $1200 per drill in the guard at a 27 year captain!! 💰💰 Comment from : @JahmekyaNo1 |

I think it's fair It's high, but they are in the front of the class after all People in business or tech can get extremely more rich, but it's much more risky as well The tax and health care also favors the military On the other hand, the military has a bit of life risk in combat and training, but as he stated, it's much lower than most of us think I think it's a career choice Comment from : @eprjct |

Dude, in the military, pay is the same regardless of job; the main difference is between Enlisted and Officer rolesbrbrNow, if you are a civilian contractor, that is a huge difference I am not going to tell you what my cousin does, who was a PJ in the USAF, but he works for a private military contractor and he makes $1,400 per day, yes, it is not a typo, you read it right Comment from : @elinserio8162 |
This more of a question about genral army pay Soldiers are paid salary? As in no overtime pay when deployed? Do you get hazzard pay to compensate for this or is this just "taken into account" when determing the salary rate??? Comment from : @bgobeske |

Growing up in a very Navy town but not having any relatives in the service, I always wondered how the military pay panned out Based on your presentation, it looks like a standard E7 can make somewhat close to the figures presented Granted, they aren't going to get the monster reenlistment combat bonus, but I would imagine they would get something even if they were just pushing papers What strikes me is whether private term life is available to active combat personnel without a penalty Considering the mortality rates, if one could buy at standard rates, it is compelling to buy as much as possible Comment from : @LowcardTravelandFishing |

Now, now, now, now Comment from : @sitavegbusiness8573 |

Our soldiers, war fighters, all of them, it isn’t enough! I seriously believe they should be some of our highest paid government employees They put their lives in the line for all us citizens brI appreciated all veterans and current military for your service to our country!brPlus, who wouldn’t rather pay these guys way more money than freakin politicians!br🇺🇸💪🙏🏻 Comment from : @Twix32000 |
Question Why can US police officers get by with killing innocent unarmed US citizens easier than our US soldiers can get by with killing a possible enemy combatant? To anyone who doesn't like me asking this the following is for you This is a fact so don't accuse me of any BS because you don't like that I ask this question Comment from : @JustATakit |

Can't believe I have been out over 10 years ago now It sounds like the rules have changed a little bit from when I ETS'd Never an extra dime for my MOS class when you are talking about the bonus structure to retain troops currently During my 25 it was lets see how many new ones we can recruit and let the special skill troops just retire Not Bitchin', just a statement for all those currently serving You never know when the rug might get pulled out from beneath you! (Now I sound old!) brThank you to the 15 million or so that are taking care of my "old butt" now! M Comment from : @michaeldickmeyer493 |
Ok, now divide that by half for alimony, child support, and legal fees 😢 The greatest challenge of all is staying married throughout all of the training, readiness exercises, and deployments Lastly, the best advice that I can give to anyone on active duty is to go to an actual military treatment facility when you're injured Always ask for a diagnosis and keep a hard copy and e-copy at home You will need to provide all of that documentation and spoon feed it to the VA when you get out My easiest claims to prove to the VA were those that were well documented at MTFs (especially when I had a diagnosis from senior medical officers, ie, O-6s) Comment from : @ghosthacktube |
My dad got an extra $100 a month as a static line jumping officer in 1965 That's $1000 per month with inflation! Comment from : @mrblaze187 |

Can you name more than 2 "failed" seal missions? Literally just keep repeating "Operation Red Wings" and "Operation Bruiser" but the Green Berrets have never failed a mission! Lol Not one mention of "Operation Gideon" or how about "Operation Eagle Claw" lets not forget "Grenada" lol 😂 Comment from : @TheMiraldi |

An Australian Army SASR Trooper (PTE) when fully qualified earns a minimum of $160k Comment from : @gcm747 |
as a retired building maintenance man with social security, i earn about $112000 a year i do not have paid insurance but because i am receiving Medicare, supplemental insurance is not overly expensive my point? special forces do receive a good salary but it does not make them rich and it does not completely give them enough to truly compensate them for their sacrifices' Comment from : @jimmytate7587 |
Sir I would say it needs to be doubled Thank everybody that has ever served GOD BLESS Comment from : @mikehoover2354 |
In Australia, a lot more when on deployment And it adds up significantly more over time as you get years and training qualifications under your belt When you’re back onshore, it is less, but the benefits are still pretty good, as they across all the services Comment from : @Doctorgoodegg |
