Peter we REALLY need an update on the Canada/Mexico/China tariff situation Our federal government is undergoing a hostile takeover (why does an unelected foreigner who violated his via requirements decades ago have access to the treasury's internal IT systems???) and I honestly can't believe the real possibility of this trade war going kinetic with CANADA of all targets! What are the ramifications of NATO dissolving right before our eyes over the coming months with Russia and China only gaining confidence and presence over the past few years? The US Navy can't protect global shipping because we don't have nearly the number of ships to do it - NOT because we operate carrier battle groups For example, the very successful Ticonderoga class cruiser are being retired with NO REPLACEMENT As @Peter has pointed out, we need cruisers and destroyers that can operate independently in order to control the world's oceans and protect global shipping
