You can make lasagna with bread flour and an eggbrI do it in a food processor but its possible in a mixing bowlbr12 1/2 oz flour, 1 egg, whizz it round, drip water in and mix to get a ball of doughbrYou might need twice that recipe for all of youbrFlour a board and roll it out or use a pasta maker roller thing if youve got onebrYou dont need one but you can get it much thinner than using a rolling pinbrbrFor noodles its the same and cut stripsbrRavioli is same and cut squares

A good trick with savoury dishes is adding MSG You can dilute a sauce down with water and thicken up with cornstarch and adding MSG makes it taste much richer and fuller again, makes the flavours pop

If you want to bulk out dishes really cheap try buying lentils from asian supermarkets, a kilo is often only £2 and they are a great source of protein with the good nutrient profile

Yum, that was a great video Thank you for sharing I love to see how you stuck with your challenge, even when life comes in and turns things upside down, you all still have to eat!! And you didn't faulter but adapted to the situation! Fantastic because resilience is the name of the game if you have a family My kids are older now but my go to budget meals were so similar Best for flavour was always refried or taco bean burritos too I live in England but picked this tip up when I was living in Texas Also a way to stretch the eggs and fill up a big family and friends is american pancakes 🥞 you need one less egg for the number of people, along side cheap ingredients like your flour and milk, I always throw in a couple of teaspoons of baking power to make it even more fluffy! this is so yummy and fast We were a one pay check family too ( my kids are mid teens and early twenties now) it was my way of saving not earning but its the same difference I'm just so happy that you can still do this today as this helps your family unit more than anything, having at least one parent always there for them amazing !

I feel so depressed after watching this All of that food for $53 American dollars would cost at least $82 in America, not knowing the exact size of some of the ingredients I went with the lowest amount Wow! This is so eye-opening of how much we Americans have to pay for groceries and how cheap other countries are able to eat for I'm so happy for the UK and its people to be able to have affordable food!

Save the canned dry bean juice(aquafaba) Use the juice in place of 1 large egg in baking mixes 45 ml or 3 Tbls equal 1 large egg Hope it helps with the price of eggs so high
