At my workplace there is a JBL speaker we use Took my Bose to work one day to compare and it sounded way fuller, had richer bass and could go way louder without sounding cheap Especially since I like to listen to music that has a bit more bass going on I also have a Bose Soundlink Mini, which I think is still my preference, ever so slightly The Mini has a warmer sound

flip 6 is the base because it has 2 driver for High and Mid Bose have only one driver for low and high frequency

The Bose is noticeably bass-y-er One of the source materials had marginally excessive bass (distortion?) but that’s questionable I’m expecting the EQ will give the Flip6 a similar bass response I just bought 2 (will be here next week) and I think the price I paid was the clincher ($93 US) on sale In my setup here, I’m using JBL studio monitors for playback…so the examples you presented (nice Binaural microphone, btw) should be accurately representedbrQuestion: can two units be linked to work in stereo? I returned my Bose after less than 24 hours because it just stopped playing mid program after about six hours accrued playing time The battery was not dead and it was still connected to lap top's blue tooth Can't explain it but I decided not to exchange it for another without further research which is what I'm doing now Also, I didn't like that the Bose came without a user's manual, just the obligatory warnings in every language imaginable I did love its sound while it lasted

I have the JBL Flip 6, it's made to lay flat for the most impressive sound It can be submerged under water while playing music, also it is dust proof It said to hold 12 hours of charge, but actually will hold 18 hours of charge I'm ecstatic with my JBL Flip 6 😊😊😊😁

With the orientation of the JBL flip 6 during the sound test I feel it was put at a disadvantage as one of the passive radiators was being obstructed due to the speaker being placed on it's side

I bought the Bose SF a few months ago I noticed I could only charge it up to 80 Would never recharge to 100 I tried everything Plugged the USB charger straight into the wall, changed outlets around my house ( Kitchen & Living room) & never fully charged even @ 12 hours I was disappointed because I've always liked Bose products but I returned it :(

Great review: I think the most important 'win factor' for the JBL should be the Bluetooth distance The difference between having your phone within 10m of the speaker or 40/50m (as per your test) is really significant I think that piece of info swung it for me, and the ability to EQ

Returning the Bose speaker because I have never experienced worse Bluetooth connectivity issues with any product This thing fights to never be connected Something as simple as Bluetooth should be ultra reliable on a quality speaker

Four or five years ago, I replaced my JBL Flip 4 with a Flip 5, and I've been really happy with it I've used it in the shower almost daily The Flip 5 has now started to show its age and soaking almost daily I'm looking to replace it, and the comparison video was helpful Note that I seldom listen to music, but I'm a heavy listener to news, podcasts and audiobooks Your video mentioned slightly greater clarity for the Flip 6 That and my positive experiences with the two previous models will probably move me toward the JBL

You aren't supposed to stand the Flip upright while it's playing You are cutting down on the bass response by muffling a passive radiator when doing that From your recordings, they sounded practically identical in sound reproduction to me The bass response would have been a bit better on the JBL had you not sat it down sideways Just something you might want to consider in future testing of products Otherwise, it was a good side-by-side comparison of the two products
