George Steinbrenner is such a complex figure He’s very much known as “The Boss” who was fiercely dedicated to winning championships He had a lot of antics that are forgotten I think that growing up with George as his father had an effect on Hal and I think Hal overcorrected with the way he behaves as owner I appreciate the lack of drama and antics but he lacks the same level of dedication to winning that his dad did and he’s let complacently set in

As a Yankees fan, I loved George Steinbrenner Sometimes he pressed the wrong buttons But I loved how he had no tolerance for losing Never scared of trying to improve his team It's no coincidence they haven't been as good since he passed away
