I expect that when it comes to barter, all constitutional silver will be weighed in the marketplace That's fine with me Comment from : @mimaroo1431 |

😊very good explanation😊 Comment from : @quinntheeskimooutdoors6234 |
Yes, but if you want to buy let’s say 3 ounces of silver, just put the silver on the scale and weigh 3 ounces without counting the coins you will get 3 ounces without getting cheated Comment from : @aliiljah8224 |
Silver is priced on the spot market at a rate per Troy ounce An ounce is not a Troy ounce, Comment from : @MrDavidknigge |
Text 55 constitutional silver quarters two equal roughly an ounce of silver so you can just round it to 6 quarters equals a troy ounce Comment from : @doepender3570 |
Silver Dragons I like this video a lot because your the only one that actually weighed one ounce of pre-64 coins and explaining it takes 111 oz of any pre-64 denominationbrIf I give my LCS a 1oz pre-64 and they only look at it per coin just to find the key date is it worth giving to them? Comment from : @jt9451 |
I like these types of videosstuff I wonder about and its just fun but as for 10:39 I highly doubt and know it wasn't jingly around for 113 years in a pocketthat prob has about 100 years jingle time lol Comment from : @SwizZLe333 |

Maybe I’m having a brain fart, But can’t you just take whatever weight you have in ounces and multiplied by 9 and find out how much silver you have? What am I missing? Comment from : @gibbeyii |
These are the calculations for Troy ounces The difference being a regular ounce is 28?? grams and a Troy ounce is 31?? grams Comment from : @bdaniels986 |

Who sells constitutional silver by the ounce? Nobody sells it by the ounce so I don't see what the point is of knowing this Comment from : @maddoxinc1642 |
If you wanted to sell you entire pile on the table you could weigh the whole pile & divide that weight by 1111 & that is how many ounces you have CORRECT? Comment from : @rexturner8208 |
best way to figure is $140 face value is an oz Comment from : @brucevanover7797 |
Or take face value times 715 to determine troy ounces Comment from : @cephasmartin8593 |
Just take face value and times by 715, which is the amount of silver weight per face value Comment from : @eldonfleming800 |
As people buy and sell based on per $1 of face value, weight of constitutional silver is less important, no? Comment from : @Ronaldalan114 |
Buy it by the gramI've noticed 5 dollars worth of dimes if they are slicks will have a face value of 5 but weight like 1 dime is missing Comment from : @HDDynalowrider |
it might be easier to try for 5555 or 8888 to get to the exact weight in whole ounces Comment from : @r5yamaha |
Wow great video I've been pulling silver out of the ground metal detecting and I always wondered about this Comment from : @jeremylee8844 |
Awesome, I learned allot Thank You Comment from : @markpyles6515 |
You could also take the total face value and divide by 140 and that would give you the weight in oz's of silver Comment from : @15DurangoRT |
Great info Thanks! Comment from : @mankave1287 |
What if i have all nickels, wouldn’t 140 weigh too much? Comment from : @SeanyStacks |

You can also add up the entire lot, take the total ounces and multiply it by 90 Comment from : @Smokey-bx2xn |
Dayumjust set the scale to measure in "Trot Ounces"" instead of "Grams"! Otherwise, just divide the weight in grams by 311 Really, how hard is that? Comment from : @johnwade7673 |
Take total oz weight devide by 111brYou get you number Comment from : @edgray9151 |

Good stuff, thanks for the clarification! 👍 Comment from : @Slabman20 |
Can't you just weight it and subtract 11 to get the amount of silver weight Comment from : @Rocky-kx4vo |
Are you compensated for the copper (4lbs) or merely paid for the 90 of silver content?? Comment from : @billsmith3458 |

Another thing about 64 Kennedy’s People knew that that was the last year they were going to be silver so they stacked them everybody stacked them pulled them directly out of circulation and kept them so even though that coin is 55 years old, it didn’t see much circulation at all most of them didn’t brThey’re also usually the cheapest silver half you can pick up nowadays Comment from : @cockroachdeloach5093 |
Newbie question - why arent there any nickels shown here? Comment from : @domiflichi |
I like constitutional silver too, but what percent do you like to try to keep as a goal (break down) in each -dimes, quarters and halves? Thanks Comment from : @Eli-qr9hc |

I Just brought myself 390 grams of 0500 AUSTRALIAN JUNK SILVER!!! woohoo😀 Fun fact our junk silver is in pre decimal and really hard stuff to get because it's quite collectable n lots of it is graded so I got lucky The 925 coins are way harder to get, more expensive and heavily graded even a lot of the low grade stuff is graded which sucks Non graded 925 coins are around $43-$60 AUD an troy (ex shipping) so that's about $30-$42 USD To over hyped n hoarded but I had to get some so I paid $15850 AUD for the 0500 coins so thats $428 AUD over spot (per troy oz) or $299 USD over spot and that's the low grade stuff Comment from : @jackiegrice1713 |

I need an answer to a question about Constitutional Silver?brWhat happens when Constitutional Silver gets mix in with our current coinage?brHow are the two coinages to be kept separated from each other Comment from : @billrundell2097 |
Yep, when buying non-numismatic constitutional silver avoid mercs and standing liberty quarters Lovely design, but almost always less weight Of all the designs, mercs are my favorite, but I still stack rosies because I get more weight at about half the premium I think more and more people are catching onto this because rolls of Roosevelt dime rolls always seem to be sold out on my favorite place to buy That never used to be the case Comment from : @MK-100x |
You can tare the scale rather than turn off the power if you want to reset the scale to Zero Just press the T button instead and that will reset everything to Zero Comment from : @sunw80 |
You should label your videos beginner, intermediate, advanced etc videos like this are just insulting to most stackers’ intelligence Comment from : @REALStinkyCash |

Great video, Dragons Someone told me they prefer Rosies to Mercs due to the amount of silver that comes off the Mercs over the years Never thought if it that way Comment from : @EmpirePreciousMetals |
1111 is the magic number Very good Thanks my friend Comment from : @SalivateMetal |
Good stuff Dragons formerly Baggins! Comment from : @goldrush4921 |
Why waste the time weighing it, every dollar is 715 ounces every ten dollars is 715 oz Every 100 dollars is 715 oz and every 1000 dollars is 715 oz , its easier to figure it this way and with the worn condition of the coins it's more profitable The only reason you should weigh it is if you are going to refine it but you lose money if you do that Comment from : @COPPERMOUNTAINCOINS |
Awesome vid brother!👍🤙 Comment from : @rippinlips5717 |
