"But silver increases in price so much more than gold?" But you have to remember the PRICE $$$ of Gold Never changes the USA Dollar does Value Comment from : @dada-mw5yi |
Great video SD! WOW!! Silver was about the same price as they were a year ago when you made this video I like bars the most but I really like bars too And if I buy bars they are usually 5 or 10 ounce bars But I do have a few kilos and a couple 100 oz bars and I’m trying to downsize those 100 oz bars into 10 oz bars I wonder how Yankee feels about bars now? Comment from : @michaelporter5679 |
If the dollar completely died off, would silver only be worth face value again? Comment from : @RaulDuke-b1j |

You mean, 8:18 i will not, 8:50 I will avoid, 8:53 if I can, 8:55 I will not, 9:01 I will not, 9:32 I won't buy, 9:57 someone is stacking, 10:02 can only afford, 10:07 you will recommend, 10:12 what I will recommend Comment from : @purehyper124 |
Guys I love both of your channels but I almost fell out when it was a $4 premium on a silver round did you had the nuts LOL to say that was a good deal come on now I realize it's a channel sponsor but honesty is still the real thing if it was $2 or a buck over like a lot of the other dealers that would be a good deal😂 thanks for the laugh I love both of your channels and I always look forward to Harry and Tim being interviewed Comment from : @ericreen6168 |
10 oz rounds Comment from : @GulfIslandRock |

I just bought some rounds because it's all I could afford this time but I prefer bars more specifically poured bars, it just looks like treasure I think the reason I don't like rounds is because of what Yankee was saying, it looks like a coin which it is not, I don't want a bunch of posers hanging out in my safe with my real collectible numismatic coins! Comment from : @rustybritches6747 |
Make no sense to buy 100oz bar of silver at $26,000 when you can get a lot of gold for $26,000 it would be my preference it would be hard to sell or barter a 100oz bar of silver Comment from : @stevenshelley9345 |
I don’t have any rounds, only sovereign coins and 10 oz bars Both are recognized worldwide silver Comment from : @ronvandervalk6217 |

I like 10 0z bars anything less than 10 Oz I get 1oz rounds usually buffaloes unless they have a really good deal on another 1oz round I have several kilo bars but now if I'm spending more than 500 dollars I buy gold Comment from : @dustinweaver3032 |

1:10 🔄 Definition clarification: Silver rounds described as circular discs of silver minted by private mints, resembling coins but without currency stampsbr3:25 💰 Varied preferences: Some individuals strongly prefer either rounds or bars, but both offer tangible assets against inflationbr6:06 💡 Consideration factors: Psychological benefits of rounds resembling traditional coins, while bars offer cost efficiency for bulk purchasesbr10:45 🥇 Preferred choice: Personal preference often leans towards rounds for their familiarity and psychological association with money, although bars can offer better value for larger purchases Comment from : @dameanvil |
I like Trump rounds Comment from : @thomasallen1951 |
Ya, the rounds look like "money" and that breeds some familiarity I feel that the rounds are easier to sell when you have to Comment from : @erics902 |
Aruba makes a square coin Comment from : @MarkCovington-sn8bj |
Vs is VERSUS, not verse Comment from : @maeveofthelongbows9552 |
when storage space is minimal 100 oz bars take up the least space along with lower premium Comment from : @zafotbeeb |
Both round and bars are great but, I think everyone should have constitutional silver in their stack Comment from : @shanebailey5237 |
If your buying 1 oz the rounds are easy to store, you put them in tubes, other wise go with bars Comment from : @b87flst |
it is super easy! brif a "coin" doesnt have a currency on it, dont buy it if a bar is not a coin or has no currency on it, dont buy it! this can differs from country to countrybrcoins (currency on it) have a lower tax on it rounds (medals) and bars have the normal tax on it if you sell the the bar, you lost money (you cannot charge the buyer for the tax) brbrcionbars is the same as coins Thats the things why some bars have a currency on it some countrys have less tax on coins as on medalsbrbrbars are way to much 1 or 2 oz is a very good size all other is to big and not worth it 100 oz in 1 or 2 oz is better than 100 oz in 10 oz bars think about it bars are garbage Comment from : @1Nyour3RAIN |
I like 1 oz rounds because they are easy to test with a phone app Comment from : @muhlenberg2608 |
What about ingots? Comment from : @addictedtominisandlovingit3912 |

Coincidence that silver dragons is sd? Nahhh Comment from : @thesmithreviews2533 |
And I just ordered bars : ) I thought they'd be easier to stack due to shape Seemed like negligible difference in price when only buying ounces I like the bars with the flag on them anyway Good video Comment from : @rowdyron4111 |
rounds and coins all day over bars they are recognizable by everyone If shtf who knows if coin dealers will even be open to convert them Comment from : @davidf3883 |
“Versus” not “verse”brVersus is the prepositionbrVerse is either poetry or the verb to opposebrThe preposition is the appropriate use when showing two opposing options, teams, concepts, or forces Comment from : @spencerme3486 |
You don’t see bars as loot you steal from a safe ? Comment from : @Revenant_Dancer |
$478 over spot is not a good deal for 1 oz rnds Comment from : @daryljackson3704 |

The premium on Silver Bars comes from serial number tracking Most rounds do not have serial numbers But when u buy a bar ur getting a specific bar with a specific serial number as a security feature Comment from : @RichStaples |
I prefer 2oz and up in semi coins/rounds; bars 5oz and up to kilo Comment from : @R3LI2UI |

I have 4 of the buffalo rounds, all of mine have a big smooth circle in the middle of the buffalo but it’s conveniently obstructed in the video I wouldn’t have bought them had that been declared Comment from : @russelbrown6275 |
I prefers the rounds because of the art work Comment from : @RMUNOZ1963 |
My belief is that bars are better for stacking only at or above 10oz Rounds are better to stack in the 1oz range It's that old consumer fact that buying in bulk saves u money in the long run, but it costs u a lot in the short term Bars are for stacking weight (bulk), and rounds are for stacking for future bartering In the end, it comes down to what are you buying? SILVERget it anyway u can (legally) while u can Comment from : @Christopher-tz3mr |
How about 1 lb Bars? Comment from : @leechjim8023 |
If u want something that looks like a coin - buy a coin - in a slab The value is the numismatic artifact rather than the weight of metal The numismatic is more consistent than the metal wt [ They may open another mine ]brIf u want the weight value hedge, buy either a "junk" coin/round out of slab - or - a barbrDo not buy "heavy" bars as that is too much metal to melt and re-define as a barter able [ aka they want this ] piece of jewelry, tool, bullet etc Comment from : @jameswright6316 |
I love fractional siver , it will be the most usefull in and barter or resale situation if you want to stake a ton just stick with 1oz rounds that have some type of security feature that keeps the counterfiters at bay Comment from : @SelfRescueSurvival |
The problem with big silver is its hard to resale, most dealers will buy smaller silver over the big boys, 1 oz and smaller is best for resale Actually most dealers wont touch anythong over 5 to 10oz Comment from : @SelfRescueSurvival |
i think they lowered the 10k threshold, they ran paperwork on my friend for a 7k silver order Comment from : @BillyBlaze7 |
For most people making small or medium sized orders from an online retailer, the couple cents difference between bars or rounds won't be enough to overcome their own preference Like if I prefer bars, I'm not going to buy rounds because of a few cents And I think the 100oz bars have their place in your stack after you have a sizable amount of small denomination stuff At 100oz a pop the premium difference adds up fast Comment from : @Dremin2009 |
You guys had mentioned that it may be harder to resell the big, heavy bars, but if you’re someone who’s able to melt the silver down and recast it into smaller molds, would that be worth it? Comment from : @JesusIsMySaviorILoveJesus |
What about 5 ounce bars I’m looking at some 5 ounce bars on sale on SD bullion Comment from : @smh7480 |
New stacker Prefer 1oz and 5oz bars Comment from : @Dyers777 |
since I don't daydream about bartering, I get big bars Comment from : @johnnnoise |
At what point do you choose gold instead of a giant bar of silver? Comment from : @vancedyer755 |
silver is silver I get the cheapest coins, bars, and rounds that I can find Comment from : @vancedyer755 |
All about bartering Comment from : @mebigota946 |
bars have an advantage of being more space efficient Otherwise, yes, six on one hand, half a dozen on the other Comment from : @1972Russianwolf |
10oz bars are the best However, recently I have discovered the 500G silver bar grabbing those have pumped that excitement again YANKEE, I am that guy who has the strong preference no rounds, no coins UNLESS I am getting that same Average price as a 10oz bar Comment from : @SliverOfSilver1000oz |
Silver rounds, Sovereign coins, 5-ounce bars, and Constitutional 90 silver Easy sizes for barter Comment from : @Justice4oneandall |
Another thing to think about, some states charge sales tax for bullion sales under $X In some instances, the tax could make a round cost nearly the same as a coin like the ASE Comment from : @DestroyerOfWombs |
Currency is real money Go grocery shopping with American dollars AND silver eagles What will the cashier accept? Huh? Comment from : @busterbiloxi3833 |
I prefer ten-ounce Piedfort coins from gub’ment mints Good heft Good value I also like the one-kilo UK silver coins with a face value of 500 pounds Comment from : @busterbiloxi3833 |
A tenth ounce gold coin makes more sense than a 10 oz silver bar Most people who buy silver aren't that smart & they think 10 oz is a better buy Simple really Comment from : @journeyman6752 |
Thank you for sharing Watching from Southern California Comment from : @Santo-one1 |
Just buy the most you can get with the money you have and spread it out as you can 90 coins, 10oz bars, Rounds, and Coins The 1oz bar's are not worth the premium just a novelty item Comment from : @scotthenderson4376 |
- 1 oz roundsbr- 10 oz bars Comment from : @spanglish04 |
Chards superrcool kid rambler here Comment from : @ianbooth6477 |
I will only buy in bulk 1964 Kennedy half dollars and this is why The silver alloy content of 1964 and 1965-D Kennedy half dollar coins is about 036 ounces Silver is £1824 an ounce in UK Therefore, the 1964 Kennedy half, with its 90 silver content equating to 036 ounces, is worth $784 When I buy a kennedy half dollar I don't care what condition it is & it costs me £600 for it I'm still making a profit on it When I get enough I melt it into just over 1 kilo bars And I start again Comment from : @sh4969 |
