Once you get going just always remember to pull the back brake first if you're doing only one brake Never do the front brake only as the bike will tip up and send you over the handle bars If that happens and you catch it in time you can just jump off over the bars and land on your feet as I did some years ago

Can also put the bike in the front room and just try and balance it while static Was late middle school when I finally learnt People wanted to teach me but I refused, just did it on my own up and down our street Eventually, finally to my surprise getting the balance Its why the bike little kids have with no pedals exist as they are teaching them balance

super! best training! (All adult training side-wheels pose a major risk to rider safety: cornering is much more difficult than with 2 or 3 wheels You can only drive very slowly in curves On uneven terrain you are constantly pushed out of direction Even large support wheels do not protect against tipping over to the side Assembly is also difficult because every bike has different struts and angles, but the support wheels have to be aligned exactly parallel to the rear wheel For children, training wheels are also more likely to prevent them from getting the right sense of balance for riding a bike Children who are not physically impaired learn much more quickly without training wheels)

After 31yrs I learnt how to ride a bicycle myself using YouTube techniques, after 30min I started using pedal and I am proud to say I rode a bicycle for the first time in my lifebrbrPS: I rode once when I was young and I crashed and never got back to it until today😅

The main reasons I never learned to ride a bike? 1 My family was always too poor to afford one growing up 2 My father had great fear of me getting mugged or getting hit by a car (in NY) 3 Everytime I attempted to ask someone to teach me, they either made fun of me or blew me off thinking I was pretending to not know

Wow, it feels so good to know I'm not alone These comments are so encouraging Thank you for the post I literally just started my biking journey I'm 40, will be 41 in a few days 🎉🎂👋🙌🙌, I hadn't ridden a bike since I was 7 years old - Life got busy, and I gained a few pounds (okay, more than a few 😂), going from a size 125 to about 255 Yesterday, my friends planned a "biking get-together" Fearing embarrassment, falls, or not fitting on the bikes, I didn't want to go I even thought of wearing the wrong outfit so no one would talk me into it lol I decided, oh what's the worst that could happen? I might actually have fun, it doesn't hurt to at least try When I arrived I had the wrong foot wear, I had on open toe sandals that turned out to be slippery, but my AMAZING Friends, wouldn't let me talk myself out of it!brbrWith their encouragement, I took the leap! For about 2 hours, whilst some rode away to give me privacy, they took turns, offering expert tips, held me steady when I needed it (literally!), and cheered me on My feet kept slipping, I damaged my sandals a bit, but I rode up and down a little hill, got on and off the bike independently, and even pedaled a bit with help It was an incredible workout, surpassing any gym session! The wind in my hair, sun on my face, and fresh air invigorated me I'm still working on balancing and pedaling, but I'm hooked lolbrbrIf you're thinking of trying something new, don't let fear hold you back I pray that God will surround you with encouraging people I can't wait to continue my biking journey tomorrow, looking forward to my future self 😉

2 years ago, at the age of 28, I decide to google how to learn to ride a bike as an adult and guess whose video came up😅 Well, you guessed right I took your lesson serious and right now I am average 40-50KM every weekend and biking has become a core part of my workout routine brbrThank you for the lessons, you are the best!

I find that video well made but the sound is awful, the voice is not clean and too low, if you turn up the volume, the music becomes too loud I hope you can arrange this problem because the quality of the content is really good and helped me to teach biking to my wife

I'm 63 and had my first cycling lesson 2 days ago My instructor is 74🙂 perfect for me as she has had alot of experience teaching adults as well as children The beauty of being my age is I am not self-conscious learning while 6 year olds cycle pass I am so looking forward to going riding in the countryside later this summer Go for it, it's never too late!

I'm turning 28 soon, and although I've been driving a car for a few years, I've never cycled before! Just got down a few old bikes from their hangers in the garage to teach my 26 yr old boyfriend how to ride for the first time We spent time together cleaning them and checking the brakes, he even helped me fill the tires with air for the first time ever today! He watched me ride around to test that they feel fine, and I picked out one of them in his favorite color to make it more fun for him I know he’s nervous but still wants to learn I’m not the best teacher, so this really helps! Thanks!

I learned to ride a bike as a child when a childhood friend decided to make fun of me by pushing the bike while im seated in it without me knowing With the adrenaline rush, my sense of balance came out naturally and my body’s coordination with regards to steering and pedaling suddenly come into fruition from there on I started to ride a bicycle
