Ebay's new feedback policy is what sucks now A buyer can leave any feedback they want as long as it is not threatening and ebay allows it For example; I sold a game ($30) that was incorrectly inside a jacket The buyer notofied me I apologized since I was unaware I offered to a return, or, to let them keep this incorrect game ($40 on ebay) for $10 and to refund them the other $20 They were estatic and said yes please So I refunded right away! And BAM - the worse negative feedback imaginable was left Called ebay and they said, too bad, we allow it, no threats were made This has happened before, sold something exactly as described, negative feedback, and ebay allows it How do you handle this????????? If you are sending things via USPS, the cost is not based on distance, it is based on zone Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, APO/DPO and many other addresses are in the same zone as California, and cost literally the same price as sending things to California Shipping via UPS or Fedex to Alaska, Hawaii and US possessions is outrageously expensive and subject to TONS of "gotcha" surcharges, but this is not the case with USPS (Media Mail goes on a boat to Hawaii and US possessions in the Pacific, which can take a month, that is the only time to worry about mailing things to them) Comment from : @johnathin0061892

I want to start selling on eBay and so far, I've been just listening to a lot of instructional videos and how-to for beginners I'm also here to learn mistakes that need to be avoided but it seems to me that so far (I'm about halfway through the video) it's quite scary to open an account on eBay I'm saying this because it seems that no matter what, eBay will find mistakes to penalize you for I am surprised that this is happening when this is the very way eBay survives and makes its own money, through the sellers mostly and buyers Does eBay have a handbook with all the rules up front before somebody opens an account? You know like the handbook you get at your workplace, or at school, etc A handbook with all the rules and regulations made clear in black and white Without that, too many loopholes can be created or interpreted in a way that always makes one part to be more at fault than the other I'm having some second thoughts now I will finish listening and I will see Comment from : @zoridezi1479
