Guess Lenovo didn't make the list I just sold my mega 7800x3d with 64 RAM, 3TB Storage, PowerColor AMD Spectral 7900xtx, and lot's of lights And the OLED g8 Ultrawide MonitorbrI got a "cheap" 650 dollar LOQ, and man I just I'm having more fun here I can actually move and sit comfortably now while gaming

Honestly, if you aren't gonna play heavy games on laptops, don't bother with a laptop that has a dGPU It will have significantly worse battery life, lose half its performance when unplugged, and usually have either higher fan noise, more heat felt, or both With the exception of laptops like the Zephyrus, gaming laptops tend to be worse built as well imo, with a lot of deck flex and usually uncomfortable keyboards Integrated graphics have gotten good enough for decent gaming Obviously, they are not gonna beat a gaming laptop at the same price, but you can enjoy it retaining most of its performance unplugged, having way better battery life, and they run 15-30W so they are much easier to keep cool and quiet And you can use standard USB-C chargers You know the Steam Deck? Yeah, most higher end integrated graphics are gonna double the performance of that by now brbrGood iGPUs to look out for:brApple - M2 or betterbrIntel - Arc 130V or betterbrAMD - 780M or better

Do NOT buy the MSI Katana 15, it has a chronic issue about its motherboard And this applies to the entire series (of Katana laptops, also most of the Excalibur laptops) If the warranty of your laptop isnt terminated, you can send it to a MSI service point and they will switch the motherboard, or just send you an entirely new laptop I don't know why linus didnt know about this issue, maybe its due to lack of research, but I can't say for sure

Im watching this cz a "friend" bought a laptop a year b4 I met her n she wants to use it for ,well a software dev online course, an intel celeron processor n4500 (shxt cpu cough cough)with 4gb ram,256gb ssd n I gave her advice saying I know people who can offer her trade in plus up cost for a second hand that'll do her better on her journey(if you wondering what I suggested i3 10110u 8gb ram and swap out her ssd to that laptop for a small fee), She replied to me "my mother"(who doesnt have a comsci degree btw[NB I do])"says its cheaper to buy the ram than it is to get that laptop",crazy brbrI told her im done giving her laptop advice or troubleshooting or even fitting that extra ram for her Imma make her pay regardless we are "friends" cz she will be wasting my time with a proble that couldve been fixed ,Im a being reasonable or spiteful 😅
