Indeed he was christened Patrick I believe and known as Pat to his family and of course his father was English anyway so Patrick Henry Pearse is absolutely correct However, he did use the name Pádraic Mac Piarais when he completed the 1911 census, the same as spelling as the plague inside the GPO doorway, so I don’t know why people even use the spelling Padraig anyway I am not quite sure? Perhaps you could explain as I am not Irish
