 A very misleading description of IBL For one, there are a number of definitions of IBL Non directed IBL has consistently shown to be an inferior method of learning in almost every scenario Perhaps apart from learners who already have a vast knowledge based, its definitely not good for novices Teacher directed, highly scaffolded IBL has shown to have equal or slightly lower than equal test scores but does have other benefits It can be argued that highly scaffolded IBL is not really IBL at all Highly effective teachers use the right teaching technique for the right class at the correct time and don't rely on just one
