I love the LE Wilson trimmer Comment from : @ef2967 |
How does the Henderson regulate over all case length? You mentioned neck from shoulder length Haven’t mentioned RCBS Trim Pro with a 3 way head Comment from : @DF-DefendFREEDOM |
Henderson unit is top of the line in every way For high volume shooters/reloaders, its incredibly accurate and very fast Its expensive, but what isnt in this sport? Comment from : @lynncowden5740 |
I just ordered the giraud tri-way trimmer just because it was more in my budget Really hope i made a good decision Comment from : @Reddirt_panda |
wish the brass chipings could be dealt with a little better for the money this costs Comment from : @DLN-ix6vf |
Don't these trimmers only work if you neck size ? Not full size since it measures from the shoulder Comment from : @tonygotts199 |
I would like to see you evaluate the power lathe trimmer from 21st Century innovation It has a lot of nice features but the only reviews I have found are by the company itself I would like to see an objective evaluation before I commit such a large amount of money Comment from : @Emmett11221955 |
Lyman xpress and rcbs brass boss Comment from : @tiputipu777 |
Expensive Comment from : @mtnshooter2487 |
I love the Henderson trimmer!! Does trim to length and inside, outside chamfer in one process Saves time and wear and tear on my fingers Worth the cost by the time it saves I enjoy trimming now and very consistant Comment from : @fulltimepatriot4922 |
I use a homemade trimmer similar to the LE Wilson trimmer and a Lyman case prep station I finish each case with a cut down 300WM case with an 8-32 screw through the primmer hole I stuff steel wool in the case and attach it to my prep station This polishes the neck and makes for consistent bullet seating Comment from : @robthompson3117 |
Henderson looks nicebrBut expensive Comment from : @bob4003 |
Is there a less expensive tool than the Henderson that does all 3 as well Comment from : @bob4003 |
What’s the price Love the equipment but the price may not be worth the trouble Comment from : @michaelbryant4026 |
My trimming tools is Lyman Universal trimmer and the RCBS hand held 17 to 45 champer tool It's a bit slow but work well I have done 556,243,65 creedmoor,270 win,308,30-06,7mm08, Comment from : @larryhoward7106 |
I have the Little Crow Gunworks World's Finest Trimmer 2 for both 223 and 338 Lapua Magnum that I like But if you have to trim more than a couple hundred rounds your fingers get tired and sore Comment from : @fordvg |
I use a lee zip trim Looks cheap, feels cheap Still going strong 15 years Comment from : @joem2554 |
For my own information, would the shoulder to neck reference not be more suitable for accuracy since it directly influences how much time it takes the bullet to exit the case? I realize they are both important, just curious if one is more important than the other Comment from : @PlunderAndPillage |
Why not mention the LE Wilson setup? I am using that with a power adaptor Very consistent and smooth process brDoes not beburr/chamfer so that needs to be done separately thoughbrBut for a 1/4 of the price over a Henderson unit, I'll take that Comment from : @arniz87 |
Imo people need to stop blowing a barrel life of projectiles on dumb trinkets like this and go shoot more in the wind Comment from : @J_Un1t |
I have a Forester Case trimmer I've been using for 50 years, for High quantity 223 I use a Dillon power trimmer Comment from : @richardphelan8414 |
I use the little crow on all my calibers Turn it in my lathe Very accurate and fast, Comment from : @CharlesHatch-n8l |
I use a hornady case prep trio with an adapter that let's me thread a lee trimmer into one of the stations The other 2 stations are chamfer and deburr Instead of the lee chuck going into a drill you can hold it and let the cutter spin in the case prep trio Comment from : @tw9676 |
I really like the Wilson with power adapter and micrometer adjustable stop but it only trims Use the Hornady case prep duo next that chamfers and deburs quite nicely for half the cost Comment from : @hank3152 |
ID Chamfering can account for 30 of your accuracy Comment from : @OGBRADASS |
LE Wilson with the power head adapter all the way No variation in trim lengths of my 7mm brass, Peterson When preparing brass, I'm not out to run a foot race Referring to the tortoise and the hair Consistency is the name of the game which leads to precision Comment from : @andrewthatcher1737 |
It's been so long since I started doing this I started out with hand held Lee Lyman universal for everyday hunting or target plinking Forster for the gotta be best can be Both can be turned by hand but I built a high speed dc motor drive for them on linear bearing tracks semalar to the trimmer your showing today Did this 15 or so years ago It saves on trimmer bearing surfaces and definitely keeps the arthritis from being aggravated as much br I like what you showed to day however when a person has muscle ticks or uncontrollable movements sometimes, trying to put a shell init holder and the cutter still spinning, I can see a possible ooops moment and so damaged fingers Comment from : @davidunderwood3605 |
I want a Henderson But the price… Comment from : @xforce708 |
Awesome video Would be great to learn why you specifically settled on the Henderson over the Giraud Thanks! Comment from : @y0urab1 |
Giraud works great for me Comment from : @rockylongbrake1703 |
How do you trim to size? I saw the chamfers, but I did not see how you trim to OAL w/trimming Comment from : @99Victor |
I have a Giraud tri-way trimmer for 223 and I've noticed pretty close trim lengths within 2-3 thousandths of all my mixed range brass My fingers do get a little tired after a few hundred cases tho 😅 so the Henderson looks quite nice 👍 👌 Comment from : @trevorj8401 |
I use the Lee 3 way power trimmer on my press Been working great so far Comment from : @Benroe-yz1nz |
Love the Henderson three way trimmer!brbrAbout a year ago, I found this unit that I like even better since it does the same thing, but also turns necks “second to none”brbr youtube/8_2acz1GKLgbr youtube/NDzx3jdro4Y Comment from : @jheasley1 |
Looks nice! I used the Giraud trimmer for years Now that I am doing less shooting, I am using my Wilson hand trimmer Not as fast, extremely accurate and far less expensive If you are going through a large quantity of brass, I am sure this would be a great tool to have Comment from : @gregtruchot8826 |
I use my Lyman auto trimmer and I have a love hate relationship with it, it was giving me pretty inconsistent results at first because the amount of pressure you apply can really affect the trim length, once I trimmed about a thousand cases I started getting the hang of it but I really wish it had 3 way cutting Comment from : @masonmcneill3969 |
Enjoyed the video thanks just a question is it suitable for the venerable 45/70 brass Comment from : @jameshalpin1580 |
Lee deluxe trimmer does it all Sheesh These look like such overwrought alternatives for vastly more money and no better result Comment from : @jaycee30865 |
I use lil’ Crow case trimmers for all the cartridges I reload Comment from : @scorch101 |
Précision rifle class is the less demanding discipline in terms of accuracy Just need the fastest and the easiest Comment from : @br4713 |
I've never heard of the Henderson before Still using my old Forster I've had for close to 40 yrs Comment from : @woodrowbrimm2805 |
When do you anneal? before resizing? Comment from : @michaeldunn150 |
I currently use the RCBS with the 3-way head Works “just OK”… does the job but is soooooo slow compared to the Henderson Ensuring the case is centered along the axis of the trimmer is more work too brbrI shoot Grendel in my AR for 3-Gun and had a ton of brass to process Even at its slow speed, the RCBS was far superior to doing them all by hand The Henderson is on my “things I need to upgrade” list! Comment from : @bethandbillgardner7843 |
I use Little Crow Gunworks trimmers in my drill press Have one for all calibers I reload for Once you get them set to your OAL your gtg Great vid Gav 👍 Comment from : @WestVirginiaLRS |
Is the collet case holder like what was used on the original RCBS case trimmer? It grabs onto the case rim? Comment from : @toddb930 |
You didn't go into the adjustments for this trimmer! And from what I can see is an allen bolt, not very high tec on adjustments I am on my second RCBS case trimmer and it does a nice job trimming my brass needs, and it has nice adjustment marks Comment from : @geraldmunk4660 |
I currently use the Lyman Universal Trimmer It's a manual operation but for the amount of brass that I work with, it suits my needs The whole brass prep process is tedious and I'd love to gain some efficiency That Henderson trimmer would be awesome But at this time, I cannot justify the cost Of the motorized trimmers that I have looked at, I think that this would be the one I'd go with Maybe one day Comment from : @30321495 |
How much brass do you have for each caliber that you shoot? Plinking (unlimited), hunting (100-200), competition (500)?? Comment from : @davidstorey7541 |
after the cartridge is fully sized will it fit over the pilot? As I trim after fully prepping the cartridge Comment from : @guybalasso3682 |
I started with the Hornaday trimmer and it is junk! Switched to the lewilson and loved it Finally got the Henderson trimmer and am excited to use it! Comment from : @Mrjaspgu |
Thank you for the awesome video brother Comment from : @codyjenn8785 |
I have the Henderson, one of the best additions to my reloading bench! Comment from : @Bushmasterpilot |
Looks awesome I only use the lee press mounted trimmer Much prefer a motorised one😂 Comment from : @carlread3494 |
No Mention of LE Wilson? 😁🤓✅ Comment from : @reloadrefine |
I use the Giraud trimmer I love this trimmer Comment from : @theshop5848 |
✌️👍‼️ Comment from : @kuronyan3006Ackley |
For precision stuff, which I don’t shoot very often these days, I use the Hornady case prep system It’s slow but works for me I do a lot more handgun shooting the last couple of years, that or AR15s, so bulk loading is my thing now Unfortunately for me, I’m a paraplegic, so even though I’m using progressive presses I can’t load a hopper with cases so it runs a bit slower than it should If you have any solutions for those of us that lack an ability to reach heights required for something like Dillon’s hopper I’d love to hear them Comment from : @RobinP556 |
Take a look at the Lee case length gauge trimmer That’s what I use Talk about quick, accurate, and CHEAP Comment from : @bones020694 |
I have a Henderson also One of my best reloading investments Comment from : @Pops1964 |
I have the Henderson and I ABSOLUTELY love it Thanks for all of your videos I have learned so much watching them Keep up the amazing work Comment from : @donshaw9776 |
