Total bull, I saved 50 grand by the age of 20 delivering pizzas but again the kicker is that by living at home you have no expenses All I had was a $75 computer payment and a $30 phone bill as I recall it The occasional repair on the car was a business expensebrbr300 dollars saved every month is a lot of money on a consistent basis when you have bills to pay

I work at Panera Bread too I make $1300 an hour What do you think of SoFi You will need to find an alternative to Mint as that will be going away I think it's also a good idea to download all your statements on your older accounts that you will be closing In case you need it for tax purposes I have a PNC account and they charge me 7 dollars a month if I don't have enough in the account Im going to get all the documents from it I also have a Truist account that charges me when I transfer money out at $300 a transaction These banks with all there fees Im a fan of Robinhood although I wish I could view them with Quicken Mint is going away I've been making my lunches instead of buying them even if I get them for half off We get the cooked chicken rotisserie from Costco and I get all the meat off it and separate it into 2 oz bags use that for the salads Im thinking about getting a standing garden to grow my own vegetables and fruits but Im unsure if my HOA will allow me to do it on my 2nd floor porch Obviously I don't want any water to spill I went through a bankruptcy and was able to get it discharged I don't even think about touching a credit card now

I saved that in 1998 working in a restaurant 10-12 hour shifts five days a week I was twenty years old I had a roommate and my part of the rent was $300 a month No other bills to pay but food to buy Same city, same job, same place to live would allow me to save $10k a year, but now it's not a lot of money

I actually accomplished saving about $10K in about 2-3 years when I started a mutual fund It essentially became my down payment for the vehicle I purchased at the beginning of the year My plan right now is to rebuild my emergency fund My goal is to start working towards a $10k emergency fund, while paying off that vehicle I purchased Also, congrats on hitting 60k subscribers

Sound advice Austin I have £82 K (which is about $10K) after 13 months I'm not on a super wage, just been cutting out buying crap I don't need 10K is a super amount to have, but whatever you save is better than not having anything and gives you a little bit of security👍
