I dont think the salary will rise that much with the amount of for profit Physican Assistant and Nurse Practioner programs coming up and pushing out students I feel like the job market is going to end up being more saturated and the need for PCP is still going to be in demand becuase even though people sell "We are needed to work in underserved areas" they really aren't going to those areas

Peace be to you AdannathePA! This is REALLY interesting to me! I have always enjoyed quite a bit of autonomy I think it may just be the nature of what I have done (eg small community-based clinics, Hospitalist) So I don't really feel the "increased" autonomy In fact, I recall MDs griping, "JEEZE! Do I have to sign ALL of your charts?"😡😠😧 I wonder how many MD/DO s are going to be upset about this?🤔 brIt REALLY is a "great time" to join the profession I want to scoop up a BUNCH of high school seniors and college freshmen and get them geared toward PA school!
