American silver eagle is 999 silver while a maple is 9999 a maple weighs 311 and the eagle weighs 314 the 3 grams accounts for the extra elements in the silver to assure you're getting a full Troy ounce of silver brbrI could be wrong but that's what I've learned from other videos about coins

There are a ton of Chinese knockoffs on eBay of Us coins, Aussie coins, and many others If sounds to good it prob is Take it to your local coin shop they’ll prob have a sigma tester

I see them quite a bit now and you can usually tell by the prices they're not afraid to try to sell a 1 oz silver Eagle for 1895 That doesn't even cover the cost of the silverI see them all the time from China they are prevalent nowadays and eBay does nothing about it

I believe silver plated copper can pass all those tests, also I believe it’s intentional that they give you more than one Troy ounce (311g) because of the 01 impurity so that you get all the silver you pay for meaning 314g makes sense

They have a oz of silver and they aren’t all silver they have some copper So when they are made they are a little heavier because of the copper added, by law they must contain 1 Troy oz of silver The weight always varies and when it’s off you need to check for errors in the coin that could make it very valuable
