And now my lifetime favorite baseball team is fucking moving to las vegas 😢 br I hate this so much tradition so much history inside oakland coliseum yet all these other teams move from there stadiums/ arenas before the venue is 20 years old br Do what the Chicago bears did in 2001 ? Play in a neutral stadium refurbish the oakland coliseum it still has a good structure!!! I love that the real Billy Beane spreads the credit around, even though that goes against the movie's version of the story:br* The A's had already been using On-Base Percentage as a metrics-heavy approach thanks to Sandy Alderson, the A's GM who hired Beanebr* "Peter Brant" didn't exist - it was actually Paul DePodesta (who didn't want his name in the movie, though he met and liked Jonah Hill for the job) br* Bill James started the movement, but there were plenty of other analysts who did great work that fed into the A's achievements Comment from : @yozlet |
