I have dyslexia dysgraphia 6/6 Now that I am 61 figuring out ways around it for years UsingUsing basic logic most of the time For example ,my right hand means anything on that side of me, the hand I write with I still do that today

I'm 44 years old and I still do not know right from left I have been told by everyone from teachers to partners and from my mom to perfect strangers to "just learn, already" And "how do you not know left from right" and "go left, no the other left"

I have adhd but not sure if it's just adhd I suspect maybe I have autism or dyslexia as well but there is no way to find it out without an official diagnosis I guess Either way my brain is fked up so it doesn't matter at the end

Telling people what I have and bits are worse for me helps now I know the real truth of being dyslexia,and now others are understanding how it effects your way of thinking so you feel much better when people ask you things because your one that can answer /help makes you feel smart,much better specially after years of feeling and teachers almost or just saying that your stupid,teachers never change except they are beginning to think they know more and more than anyone when it couldn't be more the other way,just because they are trained and passed being called a teacher does not mean your smartest in every room,I would have them tested every year,nothing more dangerous than a teacher that thinks they know more than parents and everyone,helps to be kept in the shoes you fit!

I scored 6 on 6 I was diagnosed with dyslexia when I was around 12 years old I live in India and to be very honest with you it is very difficult to live in India with dyslexia There is a lot of stigma and no one really understand This is my personal experience

bro I was diagnosed with dyslexia when I was younger and have worked very hard with tutors in and out of school to learn Just had a dyslexia test to see if I can get extra time on GCSEs and I passed, which means I’d don’t get extra time This actually pisses me off The fact that I’m being punished compared to other dyslexic children who never tried as hard

This is a very accurate test I would say I do actually have dyslexia I would have to agree to make sure you get tested for it Getting tested is quite simple but just a long process!!

I never got support for mine since it wasn't "obvious" Unlink my sister I didn't get letters confused I was also above level for reading compression If you asked me to read out loud though I'd have a hard time saying what I was seeing I also have a lot of visual dyslexia which is difficult to explain I found a few things that work for me such as inverted colors, extra time, having things presented one line or word at a time I know those strategies don't work well for all though

you know i wonder if some dyslexia sufferers have occipital neuralgia issues due to a missaligned C3 & 4 like just curious because i have a full issue with my left having a wide field but my right eye feels like 75 which makes it hard to depth of field on flat images brlike getting out and walking might help but it;'s still something that could ne nerual muscular and maybe a chriopractic adjustment could help brbrthis i only speak of though exprence and a lot of self practiced breathwork/body minipulaton and self meidcation brbri don't want to spell chrck btwbrbrjust remeber it's hard to explain a simptom if you never known what it feels like to be normal (i kinda do know what it feels like so i can refrence)

This is a very limited view I didnt really stuggle with reading, for me it was always writing and still is I can write and type backwards and skip so many letters without noticing! In uk outside of school aged children there is no nhs support or diagnostics available you have to go private or through work

I’m already diagnosed as dyslexic, have been 3 times in my life the first time at 12 was labelled “textbook dyslexia” and the last time at 33 toward the end of the testing the psychologist looked at me and said “I don’t even need to work out what the results mean you’re very obviously clearly dyslexic”brbrI kept saying “yes, next” half way through the questions 😂 already knew the rest of the question because it’s literally the story of my lifebrbrThe educational system is anti dyslexia - by design Literally the opposite of all things dyslexia, leading to most school “drop out” millionaires/billionares All the people who did bad at school but went on to change the world? 99 are dyslexic

3 I have trouble from telling left to rightbr5 I find it difficult to find the right word to say (like in mid conversion I want to say something but get stuck because I don't have the right word, happens in all the languages I speak including my mother tongue)brbrbut I don't have problems with any other things, in fact i consider my self to be above average in reading and learning new languages

I answered 5 out of 6 questions, I remember when I was young kid my dad would tell me that i don't have any sense, but I remember when I was young around 10 to 13 I was trying to find ways of making money One day he found out I had $250 saved ( this was back in 1970) he asked me to borrow it which I was so proud to loan him that money but unfortunate he did pay me back and I was okay with it I was always treated and still today at 66 I fell like people think that I am dumb while at the same time they call on me when they need something Now I just laugh to myself when I say no (karma) God has blessed me and I give him all the credit

I don’t agree with this video because I’m an officially diagnosed dyslexic and I speak English, Portuguese and Chinese I also write Portuguese and Chinese better than English, because Chinese is images and Portuguese is phonetic English, my mother, language is my worst language All I can say is ‘thank you predictive text and autographic correction 😁

I knew I had this condition only when I become a doctor by myself in 30sits been a tough time giving speech and public speaking due to this frequent mispronunciation and misspelled words as I think and said out loud, but I’ve been looking into this matter,, haven’t really gone to a psychiatrist or neurologist for this, but I m studying now to get the degree in psychiatry subject to learn more about everything into crisp 😊

Man i scored 6 i always get high grade yet i sometimes forget an instructions only remembering the first or last instructions given to me which is why mom always scold me for not doing it right and how on earth did i get high grade i also learned left and right when i was 15 yet im still confused, i always skipped a word when im reading which many people made fun of me off and i also forgotten to spell "school" and "security" and sometimes even more simple words such as "when" or "much"

Thank you for this Video I was diagnosed with severe ADHD, and didnt realize that Dyslexia could be associated I scored 6 of 6 on this test I have also scored high on Emotional Detachment tests as well I dont self-diagnose myself, however your videos describing symptoms really helps me have a better understanding, and have provided me with more pieces of this mental puzzle (And yesI had to proof read this comment 5 times for typo's before postingLOL)

Hi, I was so lucky to be diagnosed with Dyslexia when I was around 12 years old, and I was taught by the Dyslexia Institute in Sheffield, England, as a teenager My Dyslexia was upsetting, but I worked at it, and I still struggle slightly even now I've got an excellent academic degree, and, as a career, I'm part of the team running a prestigious university, working with some of the smartest people in Britain Now, I consider my Dyslexia to be an advantage I think about things slightly differently, which can be helpful as part of a bigger group I use technology to help me, such as software that turns text into speech, and I also use Grammarly, which is software which finds mistakes in writing Grammarly is superb! Please don't be concerned if you are diagnosed with Dyslexia; it might turn into your superpower!
