So I have a toned 1943 steel penny and it’s completely missing the 1and the 3 in 1943 so all that’s visible is 94 and it looks like a double strike or DDO I’m new to coin collecting so I was wondering if you would check it out and give me your opinion, it’s in great condition and the words liberty on the L and y look kinda thick and blotchy and the “we” the w is weird looking

Opinions are like something I’ve been told but here’s mine either way, the issue with the whole PCGS NGC and ANACS is yes the two larger companies do bring a few bucks more BUT they charge quite a few bucks more to grade them After memberships grading fees and shipping cost each one are coming out to four even five or six times the cost to have graded From the auctions I’ve seen say the coin sells for say 50000 using one of the big two but only brings 45000 after using ANACS that fifty dollar profit may or may not cover their increased cost so it’s not profit at the end of the day To me it’s a stupid bet paying extra money to on the off chance you might just break even

Just today i went to the bank and got 1$ dollar in pennies 2 rolls 1 roll was a complete roll of wheat pennies i was beside myself the other roll was like all BU66-67, maybe 68 1980's coins, im like this is the best 1 dollar i ever spent kudos to the bank teller

I inherited a penny collection from my grand father 1940 to 1978 and other older wheat back pennies, In this collection There is four- 1943 silver looking pennies and a standard copper looking one The older pennies 1929 - 32 - 36 - 39 / I contacted a place in Los Angeles / They told me, I had to have the collection PCGS approved before they would see me

Oh man so it cost a lot to get a few coins looked at and graded this is gonna be tougher than I thought, I have about 30-35 different kind of wheat pennies (some with the same year) and a few silver coins and I have hit rock bottom an I'm trying to see the worth of them to maybe sell them to make alittle money, save and find myself a new home Thank you for explaining how to grade coins and making a video as well, I've been trying to figure it out for about five months now since I've gone through all of my coins
