Incredibly, this is the first time I heard this version The album version is a hell of a lot better and its long solo puts this one to shame Comment from : @dvanolya |
so good love it Comment from : @guttormurthorfinnsson8758 |
Am I the only one who thinks this version sounds a bit messy and cluttered? i've only heard the other version until right now and while I appreciate the more adventurous guitar parts in this version, some of the transitions feel slightly abrupt Comment from : @justinbetland9792 |
Love the guitar riff in between the "waiting so long" 😊 Comment from : @Mr85fordyota |
Now this is the right version, single version Kicks ass Comment from : @daytripper9222 |

I agree with you Can’t find this version Comment from : @adamsaben3299 |
I've been waiting for somebody to create an extended mix that incorporates elements of the single version and the lp version together I can't believe there isn't one posted yet Comment from : @tkrosschell |
The first time I heard this song was when my brother bought the 45 of this Maybe a month later he bought Eddie Money's 1st album and I noticed right away how different the versions were I think (to this day) that the single version has a hell of a lot more energy than the album version Either way you can't go wrong Honestly until this CD came out I was beginning to think I imagined the whole thing with the alternate version Glad I wasn't completely out of my mind! Comment from : @markwebb1040 |
The shorter single version is much better than the lp version More guitar, and more guitar is better Comment from : @gregorymcgee100 |
This is how this song was meant to be played Beautiful version Comment from : @Sosidedan |
LOVE the double Lead Guitar that Jimmy over dubbed He doesn't remember doing it either but I think the single is a BETTER version too! Comment from : @davecrimmen |
Was pretty cool to hear this take a little before he passed NANANANANANAAAAARRRR!brRest in Peace Comment from : @TrippedGian1 |
In my opinion, this is an inferior arrangement For one thing, having only one verse before the first chorus works against the idea of the "waited so long" line Repeating the verse/pre-chorus before the first chorus, as the more common version does - especially with "waited so long" being the lyrics of the pre-chorus, builds up the anticipation the song is meant to convey, making that first arrival of the chorus that much more explosive and liberating Also, those busy guitar licks under the "waited so long" lines here are unnecessary and distracting The common version is the rightfully enduring one RIP Eddie Comment from : @jeffrosenberg4476 |
In honor of the passing of the great Eddie Money, I had to relisten to this version Honestly, I do like the longer version but this version has some arrangements that make it all the epic Comment from : @Ataru320 |
RIP brother Love ❤️ you forever Enjoy paradise I know you’ve waited so long 🏝 💋 Comment from : @ZobethC |
RIP, Eddie Money Comment from : @tomdavis9198 |

Definitely the best version right here!! brAND I think the guitar(s) could even be a little heavier! bWalk On Water/b is another that the guitar(s) could have some more punch to them!! Some rockin' songs! Comment from : @DallasPix |
i was working on a customer's jukebox today and this record was one of the random ones that played while i was trying to get the sound right unfortunately, everything sounded garbled so i thought maybe i was hearing wrong things thanks to you uploading this my theory that i was hearing a different version is confirmed! it is way better than the album version but i do moss that soaring guitar solo from the commonly heard version Comment from : @kurtvanzyl5218 |
OMGi haven't heard this version since a was a little sprout in 1978! Thanks for the memories 😊 Comment from : @alleykitty2131 |

Short and to the point For some reasonfor which we may never knowCBS has withheld for re-released, the rare and oh-so coveted SINGLE MIX of "TWO TICKETS TO PARADISE", that was originally pressed onto 45RPM phonograph record, back in 1977 COUNTLESSyes, count them if you canCOUNTLESS Money compilations have showered the industry since as early as 1990and none, yes, NONE have contained this special rare versionbrbrContaining a completely different vocal take from Money, and the music instrumentation spliced together in different jigsaw puzzle formssome audio analysts say the music tracks were completely different toothat is not a factthe "basic tracks" are the same, however the lead guitar solo is indeed an alternate take, as well as the guitar embellishments that encompass the chorusesand the entire mixdown was tooled & leveled differentlyHOTTER!brbrNeverthelesswe can go on & on, on just how this SINGLE VERSION differs from the Classic-Rock-Now-Radio-Friendly ALBUM VERSIONbut the time has come to relaxCBS/SONY now presents this SINGLE VERSION of "TWO TICKETS TO PARADISE", on "PLAYLIST: THE VERY BEST OF EDDIE MONEY"!brbrNote: On a SOLID GOLD episode in 1981 (yes, I know, that program reeked of CHEESE stench, from miles away) Eddie Money and a "Studio Musician" crew "synced" to that version! I bet you did not know that? The camera did a close-up on the blue-jeaned, white business collared shirt, lead guitar playerand he SHREDDED-OUT that "REMIX" solosync-played itWITHOUT A HITCH! Amazing! Comment from : @BolsaChicaRadio |
What about that crappy version of "Let it Be" the radio keep playing That pisses me off too Comment from : @shellygardner6410 |
I love that F ing guitar! I can't stand the LP version, it sound like it's dragging This is the version that they played on the radio, to get you to buy the album, that this song isn't even onbrSounds live to me, because it is faster and the extra comments made by Eddie between "normal" lyrics Very hard to find a great sounding 45 so thanks for posting Comment from : @shellygardner6410 |
I've ALWAYS preferred this version to the LP recording Tons more life and energy to it! Thanks for sharing this! Comment from : @jamieashby8810 |

Thank you for posting this GREAT version of "Two Tickets," PotA1! I hadn't heard it since the late 70s until I bought it on Amazon last year This may not make sense, but while I can't say that I prefer one version over the other, this version is such a rare treat I enjoy it more when I hear it
