I currently have 4 Centenario Gold coins I currently have the 1921 MS-62 grade that I purchased super expensive at 6k and the 1922 BU at $3488 the 1931 BU at $4,000 and the 1943 BU at $4,000 I will hold them for as long as I can n looking to complete the set which right now was selling at Apmex and Walmart for for about 68k complete 16 coin set

And the bank in Mexico doesn't pay you back the premium on the the bid :/ Nice video, though Thanks for sharing The name of that coin in Mexico is "centenario" (centennial) That's what it goes by as when you buy it in the banks Financial news outlets and tickers in Mexico daily report the bid and ask price of centenario right next to the stock exchange numbers, etc If you call it a "50 pesos gold coin" in Mexico no one would understand what you mean It's also a common way for Mexicans to stack gold and I guess you would call them the cultural equivalent of the gold eagles south of the border An interesting fact is by the Mexican legislation, all bullion coins issued by the Casa de Moneda (Mo), like this one or the Silver Onza Libertad, are legal tender for all commercial transactions redeemable for their actual market value by precious metal content You would probably have to have a long conversation to convince your local grocer in practical terms to pay for your tomatoes and get change with one of them, but technically it's legal That's why the Onza Libertad doesn't even bear a face value, not sure how the law would work for a coin with a 50 pesos face value Especially since we dropped three zeros from the currency back in the 1990s but I digress The Casa de Moneda Mint in Mexico City is the oldest mint in the Americas founded under royal decree by His Majesty King Charles I in 1535

I have the 1945, 50 Pesos gold coin, and the writing on the side, (outside circumference of the coin), lines up the same as for your 1946 coin So you may be correct about identifying the re-strike on the 1947 coin

Regarding 2:42, the Mexico gold 50 pesos were not issued continually from 1921 until 1947 Instead there was a hiatus from 1932 until 1942 Their minting resumed in 1943
