I had a crown replaced on one of my top front teeth They didn’t take an impression but used a handheld scanner The image from it was used to make the crown on a 3D printer The new crown doesn’t look like my previous one, but wider and shorter and doesn’t match the teeth around it If you have a smile you like definitely do not allow a digital method, but go to the impression method which gives a 100 percent accurate copy of your tooth Comment from : @tomb5552
